    Sorry, poorly-written joke.

I'm so pissed off that I'm considering a Payton run. I just can't believe the lack of fire on this team, but I'm still a Shanahan supporter for this season.

There is no patience whatsoever in this fanbase. They want everyone fired now even though they have no clue as to who's available right now.

As much as everyone here pleaded for Danny to hire and coach and a gm and step back, now they want everyone fired 3 yrs in.

This fanbase wants the team run just like Vinny and Danny were doing it when you get down to the bottom line.

Fire everybody and spend heavily in the FA market.

The fanbase thinks it's good, intelligent, even keeled but it's anything but that.

For the most part, the fan base sucks just as much as the team does.
I don't think this is accurate. We're run terribly. Shanahan shouldn't be in charge of personnel. How is he able to scout players in the NFL and college while coaching the team? We need a dedicated GM with an army of scouts that can provide a nice balance to Shanahan's impulses. Look at how badly this D has regressed... Part of that is hiring a bunch of scrub D coaches, and the other half is the players... Both are on Shanahan.

    Understood.

    I'm frustrated too.

Shanahan has been here for 2 and a half years, give him some time. The problem is Haslett, and Kyle needs to mature as a play caller.

I'm just tired of hovering around 5 wins every year. Just sick and tired of it, even 7-9 and not basement of the NFC East would be nice. Just frustrating.

You don't have to replace Allen, but Shanny the GM should never have been hired. Look at the colts. They blew everything up.

they need to make changes, but to what? Lil Shanny will not lose play calling duties if daddy is still there so it'll have to be changes on defense.
What do you mean there is a ****ing profanity filter??!!

Fire Allen and Hire Bill Polian in the off season. Let polian find a new coach (Cowher would be nice). Polian knows players and would build around RG3.

So you know how to properly run a franchise?

Well damn, get Shanahan on the phone and give him some damn pointers
Started the season with a rookie QB,RB and to read what everyone posted here in August, a team full of holes.
No one expected anything past 6 maybe 7 wins.

Everyone here acknowledged the unknown at WR,RT, the secondary and the bad special teams.

Yet everyone here is upset because they got their hopes up when RG3 and Morris flashed and even had the gall to say we could be OK when both Rak and Carriker went down.

Yes Virginia, your just as impetuous as Dan and Vinny.

oh we just got destroyed by a 1-6 team...but we expected to suck so it's okay

If you're that numb to the state of the franchise, good for you my dude

Get off the high horse though...

At this point,...I can't see this team winning 1-2 more games this season. In addition to lacking talent in several areas I don't see any passion or fire whatsoever. Completely uninspired performance today.

If they only win 1-2 more games it would be hard to make a solid argument to keep the Shanahan's.

You don't keep him here just because. He's been here 2.5 years with very little, if anything, to show for it. A defense that gets worse, and an offense that squirts out of the gate and dies.

So if we fire Shanny, then who do we get that's better?

Shanahan has made errors in personnel and draft strategy, and certainly in selecting his coaching staff. So let's just blow it up after 3 years because dammit, we had a full cupboard for Shanahan when he walked in!

Polian's track record isn't that spectacular, he had some very bad Colts drafts.
Shanahan is a good drafter, his track record is 10x better than Polian's.
