Could we please bring in a real ****ing GM for a few years? Just for a few offseasons?

That's not an answer, that's a talking point.
RGIII is already a top 10 QB, but he's working with bottom 25 offensive talent with Davis and Garcon gone. Kyle does make a few bonehead offensive calls a game, but the offense WORKS. Yes, Shanahan hired the guy "coaching" the defense, but you can easily upgrade Haslett on defense. How are you upgrading Mike and Kyle on offense?
With that said, stripping Shanny of GM duties (where he has been a C- student at BEST during his career) could be a good idea, but firing him outright? No.

I'm not a GM, I don't have to answer that question. There are coaches out there. It's foolishness to think there aren't. Griffin is only currently a top 10 qb in passer rating. The last 2 weeks aren't doing him any favors. The offense has been getting worse.
This team is going backwards people. We keep thinking that Snyder will start the antics of being a G. M. but Snyder realize he is not capable. This team is sloppy and talent has nothing to do with that because that is coaching. Penalties, trick plays, pass interferences, lack of depth is all on Mike. The Colts were suppose to struggle and the team has not. A team that supposedly had less talent but obviously have discipline and a competent team identity on defense and offense. Mike needs to win 7 games in order for me to see him return. This organization is standing still even though the Skins have a franchise qb.
I would specifically like to know what happened to the folks on here who back in the last week of August asked:
"With a rookie QB and lots of holes on the team, are we going to be patient/give them time when we stumble?"
Where'd that go?
YOu say it's one of the worst, but we have two of the better skill position players in the league in RG3 and Morris. You are aware that most teams don't have that, right? Then you have your LT and you have a decent but not great TE (and he can block.) We'll see about Davis' return. As for wideout, sure that #1 stud isn't out there but you're telling me ARmanti Edwards or Armon Binns, who toasted us are?? I guarantee you a lot of teams would be happy to, at least as depth, have the guys we have. RB is where we are weak and big part of that has been injury, even including Royster who has been hurt this year.
You will give the Redskins an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time you will help them accomplish wonders.
Well, the rest of the season isn't going to be much fun to watch. Just read an article on NFL.com that Shanahan has thrown in the towel for this season.

Yes you do, because generally when you fire someone, you have to have someone better in mind.I'm not a GM, I don't have to answer that question. There are coaches out there. It's foolishness to think there aren't. Griffin is only currently a top 10 qb in passer rating. The last 2 weeks aren't doing him any favors. The offense has been getting worse.
The offense is stalling, but anyone who wasn't blind who could have predicted that. Our talent is severely depleted and eventually RGIII will hit the rookie wall, as he seems to be doing now (and even then, 22/37 with several drops isn't bad for "rookie wall" but he's clearly missing guys and overthrowing guys)
Morris is a good back, but an elite back? No. That's Shanny's system. Royster is good 3rd stringer.
Also our OL is good but not great, and has a massive hole at RT. Did you not see Polumbus get destroyed 2 plays in a row? Paulson is a #2 at BEST who should not be the main target of defensive attention. Hankerson, Morgan and Robinson are good depth, but no more at this point in their careers, yet they're getting attention from the top opposing DBs. Are you saying that firing Shanahan is going to make Hankerson stop dropping passes?

i love how robinson didn't see the field after he alligator armed that first pass on the first drive
I say we extend Shany contract. I really do believe in the direction we're going. I really do believe Shanny can get us back to the promise land. Shanny has his QB, and he need more drafting chances.
I think we're better off staying the course, but if this continues in year three of shanny extension contract then we can start complaining.
The problem is we're stumbling in ways unrelated to the QB. We are the most penalized team in the league and we have a historically bad passing defense. To me, those are both signs of bad coaching.

Shanny gave up those drafting chances when he traded the farm for RG3. Not saying he was wrong to do so, but saying that we need to build through free agency, for better or for worse.
Again, I'm not a scout. I don't scout coaches. They're out here, though. How do I know? Because new ones are always found. If there are none out there, football dies when the last coach does. That's not the point, though. You are just trying to deflect from the issue, which is how poorly Shanahan has done. His teams aren't improving. You blame injuries, but the defense sucked last year before everyone got injured. If we win 2-3 games in the second half, there's no point in keeping Shanny.
