Size, speed, tackling, and availability late in the draft? What's not to like? He's 6'4 as well, so there is the size that we lack at Cornerback. We might be able to groom him to play center field out there.

Must sign if the money is right:
    G Kory Lichtensteiger
    T Tyler Polumbus (for depth)

Might sign depending on market/draft strategy/injuries:
    NT Chris Baker
    LB Lorenzo Alexander

    Everyone else can go.

Which means we need a K, two safeties (Bernstine, Doughty, Gomes, Merriweather would still be under contract, but we need to address the position), a corner (or two, depending on what you do with Hall), two offensive tackles, and an ILB, for sure.
I'm not saying we should bet the farm on Minniefield, but remember, he's still out there and he's on IR. I think we may be looking at him as the dimeback. You have to look at a CB in the 2nd round if a starting caliber guy is available, though. You can get a RT in the 3rd and then a safety a bit later. In my opinion, every pick should be offensive line and defensive back this year.

I mean the one thing you didn't mention is a big deal and thats coverage ability. Never really was impressed with his ability in coverage

Playing center field he's done fine. That's what we would use him for here. Now, he won't be playing this year because the NAIA ruled him ineligible since he lied to the NCAA when being interviewed about Evan Shapiro... but I wouldn't call that an issue that can't be worked on as a young man. We all make mistakes at that age.

But if he was available in the 4th or the 5th round you wouldn't take a stab at drafting this kid?

From 2010... but it's pretty fair. Positives and negatives, but he's definitely coachable... especially with that natural size and skillset.

Bacarri Rambo is very talented, but Shanahan might not select him due to his off field issue.
From what I'm hearing about Rambo is that he's really matured.

I'd like to see us snag a FS with some cover ability in the 2nd, and then I would be perfectly fine with considering Ray Ray again in the 4th or 5th. I really do think we need to draft 2 safeties this year, or maybe even 3 (2 FS style players, 1 SS style player), in addition to a couple of linemen, unless we somehow go crazy in FA.

    Wouldn't do it.
The first think I would ask for in this trade scenario would be their 2nd pick from the (2013) draft.
Then I would try get as many extra picks as possible.

They CBS sports or Espn had something on him and well something tragic that no one should go through. He lost his unborn child and that totally changed him. So, ya that can make anyone change he way they handle things.. Hell sin me up for getting him in the 2nd or even better the 3rd! Key thing is he can cover and also tackle.

Walterfootball also had us picking him in the 3rd lol

I agree with this. We need a 2nd next year to get an impact player at either RT, S, or CB. The only way I'm trying to recoup a 2014 1st is if we somehow manage to get impact FAs at RT, S, and CB. Considering that would require us to get something like Clady, Talib, and a safety (Byrd, Delmas, Chung, or Phillips), and cost a ton of money we won't have thanks to the cap penalty, I don't see it happening.

Glad someone else is on the "Ray Ray in a late round" bandwagon with me haha.

I'm not on the bandwagon, but at the same time I'm not going to go around him stomping and complaining if we take him. He's got the talent, but I just wonder if he'll ever develop

We're going to have some money people to sign 2 good players from Free Agency. Moss isnt getting his 6.5 million next year and neither is DHall getting his 8.5 million. Also put into account Brown 4.5 million next year is gone too. Plus you add the 6.7 million we have now to next year. I expect us to be able to resign who we want and add 2 good players next year. I hope its Clady and Talib or DRC. I do wish we could manuever more cause I wish we could get our hand on Delmas or Jarius Byrd too. As for college S Kenny Vaccaro and McDonald are cool with me. Ray Ray is a good project too say for a 6th rounder.

Ray-Ray has a decent measurables but I think a S his size should hit with more physicality and my pet peeve for Safeties he doesn't bring his arms when he tackles.
Also he hasn't played a lot of football recently.
I would be cool with him as a late round flyer and special teammer but would view him as a developmental S.

Also Talib is having a down year and with his off the field stuff maybe we can get him for lower price than we believe. Somewhere around 5 million a year. If we can get him, Byrd or Delmas, and Clady that would make it an very wide open draft I believe. Can go away you like. ILB, CB, DE, NT, S, WR, and RB.

Talib would be the main guy I targeted in FA. If we got him and Byrd I feel that we'd be in pretty good shape heading into the draft
