Oh lordy, my day has been made
I usually used the ncaa site for these compiled stats, like passes defended and total yards per catch, etc.

But that's nice to have. Here go:

Hopefully you've got Brandon Williams in there, he looks like a future NT, even though he plays a penetrating 3 tech in a 4-3 at MSSU.

Stocky, stout, thick legs and back-end, about 6' 2" so he gets leverage naturally, can penetrate with Bull, extends his arms out - uses them well.

Being in a class where you have 4 normal classes, plus you also create a business plan makes life not that easy. Especially right now where we are in the hardest part of the semester with a big assignment due in almost 2 weeks

San Jose State's Travis Johnson quarterfinalist for Lombardi award
Johnson leads the nation with 7.5 sacks and is the NCAA's active career leader with 26.5 sacks.

He's fourth among active players with 40.0 tackles for loss and shares the nation's longest active streak with a tackle for loss in 11 straight games.

Johnson is 3.5 sacks away from tying the school's career record of 30 sacks, held by Lyneil Mayo.

That would also match the Western Athletic Conference career record. He need two tackles for loss to match Jarron Gilbert's career school record.

Walterfootball 3 round mock is interesting. They've got us going ILB CJ Mosley in the 2nd and Baccari Rambo in the 3rd. Rambo in the 3rd isn't too bad I suppose, so long as he gets his head on straight.

That's not a bad pick if we assume Robinson doesn't develop, Goff doesn't recover, and London is done, but I don't know how good any of those 3 assumptions are. Mosley would probably be the starter coming out of camp if he got picked. Skov was also on the board at that point in their mock, but I'm not in either guys' camp.

The bigger thing, IMO is, in the 2nd, Tony Jefferson was still there, and somehow Jake Matthews slipped off their board entirely. Don't know what happened there, but I'd be taking Jefferson if he was there, and if Matthews is somehow there in the 2nd I'm freakin getting Trent Williams to run a 4.7 to the podium knocking down everyone in his way.

Does anyone know of a good place to view stats for what cornerbacks have given up to WRs and TEs, for both college and the NFL? It's tough trying to grade these guys since for guys like ILBs it's pretty much tackles, and for pass rushers its sacks and TFLs, but for corners it's what didn't happen that's most important.

    Check these stats out:

Makes me think of Miles Burris, more or less equal production, a little variance.

    His side by side stats:

All these injuries pointed out how weak we are in terms of depth. We have no other true olb's than rack n kerrigan. And also, defensive end.

This video gives some clarity, has some game footage on Melvin White.

Rather than a highlight cut-up, this has some actual game film. He's the boundary corner for Louisiana Lafayette. He plays almost exclusively on the left side of the defense, wears #22. Occasionally in the game he played the right-side, more towards the end of the game. You'll notice him when he switches around.

Louisiana Lafayette seems too want to keep the vast majority of things in front of their DBs, (corners), playing off coverage. Sometimes he flies deep with deep third responsibility, like in a cover 3 or cover 4, other times he allows the vertical route to slide to the safety while he takes the underneath route.

A few times that tandem coverage of White playing zone to his side, allowing the vert to get bye and picking up the short route, with the safety overtop, it allowed the receivers to find the soft spot in that zone.

He does have length and stride but there's some hesitation to his game.

I didn't see much press at all early in the game, a few times he did, maybe once or twice. Toward the end of the game he was walked up to the receiver more often. Once on press, on the rightside he got called for pass interference.

He nearly had an INT when he was playing cover 2, allowed the vert route to go and he picked up the short out route to the flats, he jumped it but couldn't catch it.

A few times he gave steps, didn't react the quickest on breaks, but passes were either errant or receivers dropped them when open.

He gets beat for the then, game leading TD. (louisiana lafayette actually won the game on a FG).

Right about now Rashard Hall and Leon McFadden are looking right to me.

Both highly productive, both seniors and captain / leaders of their team.

    Hall:
2009 - 1st team freshman All-America / 1st team freshman All-ACC. 3 INTs in 2012 already, probable 2012 honors. A graduate in 3 years, degree in marketing. RS Senior. He has 13 career INTs, ranks sixth in school history, 4 behind all-time leader Terry Kinard. Led team in tackles last season with 89.

2011, he played through knee injury, forgoed surgery, started 13 games, missed only one game. Had offseason surgery, back for 2012. Has played in over 40 career games. He's lengthy with range, is around the ball, can high point it. Possibly available in the mid-rounds. Maybe considered right now in the 3rd, possible 3rd to 4th range, possible 4th.

    McFadden:
    2 x 1st team MWC (2010, 2011) - probable 1st team again (2012). An Team Captain in 2012. A 2009 and 2010 MWC all-academic selection.
Plays well in press, on an island. Physical in run support. Top 10 in passes defended currently in 2012. Ranks high in career passes defended. Possibly late 2nd to 3rd - considered widely as a 3rd round.

As with each, I'm seeing more in them that I like and the names ahead of them don't stop me from moving them up in the rankings and therefore to a higher draft selection/round.
