In all seriousness he would add a dimension to the pass rush that Orakpo and Kerrigan lack. The ability to bend the edge. He has a near elite ability to do that along with his super explosive first step. With the jets he disrupted at about a pass play of once per 10-11 pass attempts. Isnt elite but is certainly better than what we have had. Team him with kerrigan on passing downs and hey we may have a semi-decent pass rush

I'm talking about for this season, right now, bring in Ta'amu and Maybin for a tryout... Have you seen any sacks lately?
No, there hasn't been a lot of sacks. Why? Haslett likes to bring pressure. But if you have issues in the secondary, bringing pressure will hurt. And like I said, Orakpo is missed. Teams can key on Kerrigan now. So, the sacks aren't coming. Its no big secret. Maybin will do what? Ta'amu is facing suspension.

OLBs in a 3-4 are kinda of apart of the pass rush by default . Look at the 49ers. they have morphed into one of if not the most talented team in the league because they have been able to salvage 1st round cast offs that were talented but for whatever reason did not pan out prior to getting to San Francisco.

The Skins have a total of 8 picks. Trade down and get more picks. The issue on the team is in the secondary. That needs to be fixed.

Soo? Are we 3-6? Yes! Would they be cheap? Yes! Will the be getting multi-year deals? No! (just the season). Is the Risk worth the potential Reward? Hell yea because there is basically no risk.

In fact we would be stupid not to give them all a shot, what are they going to do.. make us lose more?

Maybin and Ta'amu (sp?) make sense. Ray Edwards doesn't. He is a 4-3 full grown. He's too big/lacks the athleticism to play 3-4 OLB and is not big enough to play 3-4 de. He has no position

Seriously! What do we have to lose bringing Maybin & Tamu in? Maybin is good in passing situations, and maybe, just maybe we might slightly improve against the pass with him taking a slight burden off Kerrigans shoulder. I mean we are the worst team against the pass so how much worse can it possibly get?

Mike studied the Belichik system during his time off, well guess what, Belichik brings in experimental players ALL THE DARN TIME! Not to mention, bringing these two guys in won't cost any draft picks so why we haven't claimed either one is beyond me...

Is Ta'amu even eligible to play? He's in some serious legal trouble.

Ta'amu is facing suspension, with 16 felony and misdemeanor charges. No way! And the Steeler just signed him to the Practice Squad. Why? They know he will be suspended.

Ta'amu might be behind bars soon. What is wrong with some of you? Maybin hasn't done anything since he has been in the league.

Maybin has been able to put pressure on the QB. Albeit not consistent but he would immediately become our 3rd best pass rusher. He did nothing with the bills. He has had some production with the Jets.

Just did, didn't know he's still facing charges.

But, I still think there's no risk in bringing Maybin in. If there's nothing there, then cut him, just like that.

If a guy like Maybin can't stick in New York where they can't seem to get a solid pass rush, what makes you think he'll make it here?

He went in to New York with a fresh start and lead the team with 6 sacks to boot... Maybe a fresh scene and he'd do the same... Life's to short for what if's and regrets. You have absolutely nothing to lose by giving it a shot... Could we be any worse with the pass rush? IMO its foolish to let it slip away without a tryout... We have no first round pick so I know we're not playing for the better pick position

He's also played on how many teams in his career? The guy is the definition of a bust of a player. I wouldn't even try him out
