Fauria is looking like he's gonna go in the bottom of the 1st. We're outta luck with that one.

Damn impressive win for UCLA. Lets bring back Lou and try to get him to bring #11 Barr with him!

    Ditto!

Their defense had 2 Int, 1 FF, and I think 3 sacks. Not too bad.. They're playing Stanford next week, which is no USC. I can't wait to see how they do against them! Most importantly I hope Bruce & Mike take notice as to what kind of a stud they lost & really open Danny's checkbook to get the guy back as our DC & let him pick his own staff. Him & Kyle are young and could start a lethal dynasty for the next decade if paired together.

No one doubts that IF he were to reach his potential he would be beneficial.

But every offense could also use a CB1, CB2, FS, SS, Pass Rush DL, RT etc.
And IF any of those positions were drafted and reached their potential they would be beneficial also especially considering the level of play at the players that currently hold those positions on the roster.

All draft picks are risks, at best the draft is about a 50/50 prop. But imho player's like Dennard pose even greater risk because everything about him is a projection to a new position and entering an undefined role.

For an incomplete team with limited resources that already has a potent offense can't you see how/why many beleive the possible benefit isn't worth the gamble?
That's cool. I can understand that position. The comment was more about the position that Denard has an unlikely chance to make that transition. From my view, the things he brings to the table help build a complete offense and a unit that can flourish with RGIII for the next few years and emerge as elite.

He didn't throw the ball once today. He can't throw the ball right now, and his ability to throw was not a threat to the D at all today so they never keyed on it. And yet he still had a highly productive day. I imagine he'll be harder to defend once he does get that threat to throw back.

Alfred Morris's ability to play some FB is also an interesting offensive option IMO. With him, RGIII, and then a guy like Denard, you have three high quality, multi-dimensional ball carriers.

I think it would make winning the numbers game up front a lot easier.
I think this sums my view up perfectly. The mentality and flexibility of Morris helps Denard be part of the base personnel as much as Denard's versatility. We can line up in a traditional I formation or spread 4 wide with the same personnel.

Using Denard frequently and regularly in standard plays creates a situation where his throwing is not the primary expectation of defenders and THAT is what's dangerous. Having him throw 2-3 times per game opens the whole offense. He can throw a couple of dump offs to the backside TE dragging and one deep shot and those will make the defense have to stay at home and cover every inch of the field at all times.

I agree, but both would be nice.

Bailey has like 20 TDs this season, we should absolutely get one of these guys. It's frustrating to see WVU so stacked with talent but can't win anything, they imploded hard.

Completely disagree. Bailey is a nice player, but really is just gonna be a solid WR. Austin is a major weapon.

Tavon Austin had 21 carries for 344 yards and 2 rushing TDs. Also 4 receptions for 82 yards. Stedman Bailey on the other hand had 13 receptions for 205 yards and 4 TDs

It's going to be really ironic and a shame when Ohio State goes undefeated and it won't be worth much because of the ban. Of all years right?

    ---------- Post added November-18th-2012 at 08:02 AM ----------

Is my math wrong or did Tavon Austin not just get 572 all purpose yards last night?

I seriously could not even do that in a video game. I'm pretty good at NCAA Football 13. But not that good.

Don´t know about him. He is big, he has some athletic abilitie but not that fast. I.m.o. he doesn´t have the insane athletic abilitie of a Hernandez.

I think he is just a size mismatch, redzone thread. Midround pick that might get pushed up a little because of the lack of TE talent this year.

Brett Hundley is a interesting player. Hundley, Menziel, Bridgewater, Mannion, Ash, Miller and Driskel. (not a huge believer in the last three)...there is walking some talent on the college football field.

I believe Austin is at 2319 yards all purpose this year.

It was a good day for Quinton Patton (11 catches for 181 yards) too.

The Ohio St Wisconsin game was pretty fantastic. Exciting, purist football. Montee Ball is a machine. He runs against a stacked box every single time and gets soooo many carries every series. And yet he just hops up and lines up for the next snap. And he just churns out yards. Final tally for the day was a ridiculous 38 carries for 191 yards and a TD and he had to earn every single one of those yards. Ohio State's interior defense looks absolutely loaded.

Hankins and Shazier are elite. I didn't catch Jarvis Jones this weak, but I did watch Hankins and he looked absolutely dominant. Just an elite interior talent and I have to imagine it's between him and Jones as the best player in the class. They would be my top 2 in some order.

Shazier is very good for a Sophomore. I think he's got better NFL potential than some of the great Ohio St. linebackers that have come out in the past. He's really athletic and instinctive.

They should rename this cupcake week for the SEC. They're pathetic. You cede your moral authority for complaining about your SOS when you schedule late season matchups like those.
