I'll give you the first part, but there's no denying that TE's are killing us... I like what I see so far out of Robinson as well. I agree he needs more playing time and Fletcher may need to take a few more snaps off.

It should be interesting to see how Robinson fares if Fletch has to sit this week. Keenan will have a good test against Witten.

It was surely impressive watching him on the double A blitz that forced the 2nd INT by Foles. He came through and lit up McCoy and forced Foles to backpedal

Our passing offense is predicated on thh success of our strech zone running play and keeping a defense off-balance. On our most succssful pass plays our o-line is, in essance, run blocking to get RGIII on the edge. The 9ers have the talent to run a traditional drop-back passing game and some zone read stuff when Kaeparnick is in the game.

On an unrelated note the 9ers ILBs are just not fair...
Comparing the talent on the OL:

    49ers:
    T Anthony Davis - 1st round pick
    T Joe Staley - 1st round pick
    G Mike Iupati - 1st round pick
G Alex Boone - UDFA (*they also have Leonard Davis as backup - 1st round pick)
    C Jonathan Goodwin - 5th round pick

    Redskins:
    T Trent Williams - 1st round pick
    T Tyler Polumbus - UDFA
    G Chris Chester - 2nd round pick
    G Kory Lichtensteiger - 4th round pick
    C Will Montgomery - 7th round pick

Robinson reminds me a bit of Lawerence Timmons, not your prototypical size for the ILB, but is great athelete that can run and cover. If Robinson works on his craft he can become a good one on the inside.

Same comparison I draw with him as well. Not the exact same, but pretty similar

Dukes or other defensive minded gurus.... I've been thinking about this for a good while because I liked UGA NT John Jenkins coming out of the JUCO and I love his size, but overall I feel like his teammate Kwame Geathers is the better player with the higher ceiling. How does Kwame's height affect him as a NT in the 3-4? I know the prototype is around 6'2-6'3 330-350 which is right in John Jenkins wheelhouse. But is it really just leverage that is affected by height or is it determined by initial jump off the ball?

I know fat Albert Worthless was 6'6 350, so about the same size as Geathers and he made an impact when he felt like it and it didn't look like it caused an issue with his height... I don't expect a NT to be ducking under two-blockers as it is...

Geathers is a prototypical NT in the 3-4 IMO. Just because his size isn't perfect doesn't traditionally make him a fit. You'll see guys who are smaller than the prototype, but they have tremendous leverage and thats how they win their matchups.

Would be nice to see Geathers here but our limited draft picks and need of Safety help may not let us have that luxury. Though personally, if Geathers is there at the beginning of the third, I take him immediately.

I'd almost prefer Brandon Williams in the 4th/5th round range over Geathers

Fletcher needs to start. I don't care if he only plays that one snap, I'll be really sad if he doesn't start.

I think Timmons is a better athlete. Much more explosive. Also I see Timmons as having more ability as a blitzer. He has that DE background from college. Robinson seems like more of that classic linebacker.

I've always been a vocal proponent of the real need for this team to address the OL in ernest with top level prospects. However; I think you're greatly exxagerating the inability of our OL to provide adequate pass protection to have a drop back passing game.
We were able to have a drop back game last year and the OL if anything was worse.

I agree that a drop back game is lacking and imo the main reason is because its not a focus of the offense. In critical moments late in games when teams know we're going to pass Griffin has been able to move the team in the drop back passing game: Rams, Bengals, Tampa Bay, New York.

For starters, we should grab T Aboushi(sp?) in the 3rd, and I'm pretty sure he can immediately contribute.

I do agree on Aboushi, the more I watch and the more I read the more I want him for us.

Also question for you all. If I were able to go to the senior bowl this year how many of you all would want updates and all from me? I have the ability to go this year through NFLDraftMonsters so I'm currently considering it and wanted to know what you all thought

The more updates the better. I can't get enough of them, but I'm only speaking for myself. I'd love it!
