    2. DJ Swearinger, FS, South Carolina
    3. Will Davis, CB, Utah State
    4. Jon Bostic, ILB, Florida
    5. Reid Fragel, OT, Ohio State
    5. Travis Long, OLB, Washington State
    6. Mychal Rivera, TE, Tennessee
    7. Javon Harris, SS, Oklahoma

Heavy on defense here, and for good reason. I want a defense like the 49ers and Seahawks, one that is fast and extremely physical.

He loves it here, but it's also a reality that he's so open to restricting his contract precisely BECAUSE we can cut him with no consequences (cap-wise) now. So that works in our favor. He and Moss should both restructure this offseason.

Where are we at with the Brown contract? Does cutting him save us a chunk of coin, or are we stuck with him? Obviously there's no need to keep him around any longer. He just can't get healthy.

If I'm interpreting Spotrac correctly. we would take a $1,250,000 hit for cutting him vs using up $4,850,000 of cap space by keeping him on the team. So it would seem we would save about $3,600,000 of cap space by cutting him.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge of capology will chime in.

So he's an obvious cut then. I'd look myself, but the site won't load on my iPad unfortunately.

Jammal Brown has 8.25 guaranteed in a 5 year contract. His signing bonus and first year base salary were the guaranteed parts. We've paid him 4.95 mil of that 8.25 guaranteed, meaning if we cut him now 3.3 mil will be applied against the cap. Because he's owed 4.85 mil, it's a savings of 1.55 mil.

Now, if he's a june 1st cut (which I guarantee he is due to us being cap penalty free in 2014), we only have to pay 1.1 mil in 2013, saving us a total of 3.75 mil. To give you an idea of the kind of replacement player that will afford, guys like Adam Snyder and Wayne Hunter are making that much. We are apparently pretty far over our cap as things stand, so more than likely we're going to be making quite a few cuts and signing a lot of guys at league minimum, so I expect our team to be hurting more next year than this year.

I think that's why you'll continue to see us trade down more than not, because we need to continue to accumulate young cheap depth for one more season to offset the penalty. The positive is that's a great way to uncover another young gem or two. And it forces us to allow slower-developing young guys with potential their chance at a solid role, like Aldrick Robinson.

I just want us to draft and develop Blidi Wreh-Wilson, and move D. Hall to number 2.

Thats great but the Skins need some weapons on offense.

Really? I hadn't heard that, interesting.

    Here's my 2 cents worth:

    2. Baccari Rambo, or Jordan Poyer whichever is still available
    3. Margus Hunt
    4. DJ Swearinger
    5. Dennard Robinson
    5. Shayne Skov
    6. Tanner Hawkinson
    7. Jake Stoneburner

Very interesting pick here. I think it could be a little early (but I also thought Bruce Irvin went to early last year, so eh).

Dennard will end up in that 4th-6th area more than likely

Just something I just wanted to bring up. Many of you all have brought up Ryan Harris as a RT guy in FA. This year for Houston Harris played 465 snaps and according to PFF had a grade of +6.3.

I think I rather just Cut Hall outright, he was never that good, and he is declining, and no way I give him over 16 million these next 2 years. Cut him save 7.5 million in cap for the 2013 season. Brown will be cut. Looking at those numbers I could see Morgan and Moss being cut. Fletcher retiring wouldn't be the end of the world from a financial standpoint. Perfect world he restructures, plays 2 more years and we pay him 2 million in 2013 and 6 in 2014.

Also looking at those numbers I think they keep Merriweather. He isn't signed for that much next year and we have 2 cheap club options on him after that.

We can probably get 10-15 million under the cap with caps and restructing, which means we could of had like 33 million without that Mara Bull****

I just think Ryan Harris is a perfect cheap stop gap that is worth the risk, especially given our cap siutation.

That's pretty strong. I'll put him on the FA thread OP for RT. I was never blown away by him but I didn't watch all of their games either.
