Tavon Austin 5'8" 174 lbs, wow thought he was a lil bigger, but def plays bigger than his size indicates!

Tavon Austin looks like the definition of a slot WR. Who compared him to Steve Smith ... Skins and Dukes? Someone I'm really intrigued by is Robert Woods ... I think that kid can be a play maker and I think he'll be there for us at 51. I wonder when some of these off-season dominoes will start to fall. I really want to figure out what the biggest holes are on this team. I just can't see us spending a 2nd or 3rd on an OT ...

I'm also excited to see who Shanahan views as his Alfred Morris of this draft (but with speed). Whoever he takes at RB in this draft I would expect to get some good reps and have a solid impact in 2013.

Charlie Campbell's 4 Round Mock on Walter Football has Skins going:

    2: Johnathan Cyprian, S FIU
3: Will Davis, CB Utah State
    4: Duke Williams, S Nevada

So is this team going to go all offense in FA? Because the only way I see this actually happening is if they completely ignore SAF in free agency. Maybe bringing in someone like Corey Lynch still requiers you to add two safeties, but still ... this would leave out all but one of Doughty/Gomes/Bernstine at safety.

DeAndre Hopkins is well put together comes in at:
    6010, 214lbs, 10in hands, 33 3/8in arms and an 80 inch wingspan

Cordarelle Patterson not as impressive physically as he was listed at Tenn (still not bad I thought he was going to be much lighter):
    6017, 216lbs with 9in hands and 31 6/8in arms

Eddie Lacy RB Alabama: 5110, 231lbs going to help his stock if that is all good weight
    Marcus Lattimore RB S.Car: 5112, 221lbs

I posted an article from KFFL that said that Stedman Bailey from WVU was compared to Steve Smith. Bailey would be a nice p/u at WR, if we were lucky/able to get him in the 3rd round.

This goes all the way back to page 1 ... in August ... but what is the feeling on ILB Tom Wort? Would you take him in the 5th? For those draft gurus who have broken down the position ... I've seen a number of ILB in the 5th that could fit here ... Kevin Reddick, Tom Wort, Steve Beauharnais ... but who would be the best fit? I think the 5th would be a nice spot to take an ILB, regardless of whether Fletch comes back or not

Do the redskins have 7 picks total in the draft? Rich Tandler says we get New Englands 5th round pick. "hey also have their own picks in rounds 3 (pick 21, 85 overall), 4 (22), 5 (21), 6 (23), and 7 (22). And, on top of that, the Redskins finally get something out of the $36 million and two years of aggravation they put into Albert Haynesworth—New England’s fifth-round pick, the 29th in that round." So thats eight total now?

Was happy to see Earl Watford weigh in at 6'4 300 for G. Should test very well at the combine and end up as a 4th round G

    I believe we have a 2, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7. That would make 7 picks total.

Terrance Williams - WR - Player Baylor WR Terrance Williams measured 6-foot-2 and 208 pounds at Friday's NFL Combine weigh-in.
Williams is up seven pounds since the Senior Bowl, likely in an effort to show improved strength. He's being billed as a vertical threat only, lacking physicality and versatility to his game. Williams is a projected day-two pick.

Not bashing your post so don't hit me. More about all the mock drafts by the media, websites and some in here. Why the overload on CBs and Safeties? I think taking all those DBs is overkill. I still think if we shore up the front 7, get guys back healthy, we will be fine in the secondary. We have some young guys in Crawford, Minnifield, Bernstein, Gomes and Meriweather. Yes some of them can't be counted on, but I just don't get the overkill.

Yes, we need a FS. That is a given. Take Cyprien or one of the top rated guys, then go in a different direction. If one of the top rated safeties aren't there at 51, take a WR like Williams or Woods, etc. I just can't justify us using more than 2 picks in the secondary, but that's just me.

IF Williams were to fall to us at pick #51 it should only take the Skins a few seconds to send their card up and for the following to be stated, "With the Redskin's first pick in this year's draft, pick #51 the Redskin's select Terrance Williams, WR from Baylor."

I agree. I think 1 safety and 1 CB would be plenty. S in 2/3 ... CB in 3/4 ... WR, OT, ILB, NT, RB, TE or BPA depending on remaining needs elsewhere

I'm sure we will address S and CB in FA best we can so that we're not tied to drafting for need only in 2-4.

Either way we're not just going to draft need for the sake of need. Thats how you end up with busts and reaches like no other.
