I have him in my draft wishlist in my sig. I think the kid from UCLA is a decent punter and might be selected somewhere in the 7th or UDFA maybe. Thought, D&S on who we might bring in or will we stick with Rocca?

Just checking around and found this name: Alex Dunnachie, P, Hawaii. He's 6-4 220 and averaged 46yrs per punt this year with a long of 73. Wow.

I don't know his reason, but personally my view is Armstrong is completely over-rated for his entire career. His measurable are pretty average for his size and his game is disappointing. A poor man's Taylor Mays, and I really didn't like Mays coming out of college either. Believe me, I wanted to like a lot of these big safeties, but this guy is no Chancellor (who was actually pretty good in college). He disappeared for entire games, and great safeties don't do that. You can get away with size/speed athletes at just about any other defensive position, but safeties normally have the largest amount of area to defend, too much area for speed to make up for poor instincts (and it isn't like Armstrong has elite speed).

Yes, he was a waste of a 6th round draft choice a few year ago and a punter that Danny Smith coveted and got. Some work out other don't. There are some good punters in this years draft that can be had w/o drafting one and Donnie Jones is an avaiable FA that has proven himself in the NFL. I just want to move on from Rocca as he suffered a bad injury this past year and we need a younger one in my opinion.

RWJ, you make a good point. I did not realize the stats on Rocca. Durant did not make it any where. So looking for that reliable punter might pose a problem.

That LSU punter from 2 years ago was a difference maker and game changer for LSU. I dont remember what his name was but every time you saw him punt especially in big moments he would flip the field position. Is that Wing?
