I don't care if Tavon Austin measures in at 5'5" 150 pounds - dude has solid hands, makes good catches, runs sharp routes, has sudden stop-start, can run away from people with speed or plain juke a fool out of his shoes. An incredible slot receiver and returner. As it were 5' 9" at 175 to 180 aint' that small.
I don't think you can change player positions any more. Specifically to avoid this.
Age has to be considered now. I offered 3 2013 first round picks for Eric Berry and also for JJ Watt and they told me I wasn't close on value. If a player is like an 84+ overall and under 25, you basically can't trade for them unless you're offering elite young players in return.

I'm trying to juggle the unprecedented feat of watching four games at once. Trying to catch as much of USC--GA as possible, Ohio St. on D, Notre Dame on D, and WVU on offense.

Carolina is beasting out on Georgia. A wholistic effort. Gurley looks completely useless tonight. USC is just beating them up front.
Jarvis Jones has looked good though.
Hankins has looked pretty good.

Can we please find a way to get Stedman Bailey or something? He is so amazing, I have the biggest man crush on him and want him on this team right now. Geno looks like a more pocker passer version of RG3, he is special but I would rather have Griffin and that's hard for me to say as a WVU fan. Either way, between Geno, Austin, and Bailey some lucky teams are going to be very happy this coming April, I just hope we are on of them.
- Kevin Minter catapulted himself to say the least. We already knew he was good, but wow. He's really, really good. It'd be nice to snag someone like him for when London retires. He's huge, active, a natural striker, instinctive, with a nice downhill style that suits our scheme. He looks like a gem.
- Florida's defense looked fantastic. Bostic, Elam, and Floyd are all good players no doubt. They don't really have any star pass rushers, but they're smothering.
---------------
- Andre Ellington is meh. He's fast but really nothing special unless he's on the edges with space.
- Tajh Boyd is a terrific college player, but I can't see him being a successful NFL QB. His size isn't great and his arm strength is below average for an NFL QB and he throws with inconsistent velocity. He's tremendously poised and smart and sneaky athletic. Russell Wilson-esque in a lot of ways. But take him out of Clemson's no huddle spread with his elite skill position talent and I don't think he makes many plays.
- I still like Mallaciah Goodman, but Clemson got blown up today defending the run. It was a pretty ugly performance from their D.
- DeAndre Hopkins is fantastic. He can tack 15 to 20 yards onto a play if you even slightly overpursue or hesitate.
- Jeremiah Attaouchu looks terrific. NFL size and athleticism, good instincts, great motor. He's a natural 3-4 OLB with starter's upside IMO. I think some team gets a middle round gem in him.
- I thought Uzzi and Finch had a good day, fired off the line well against Clemson's bigger front and made things happen for runners.
- Orwin Smith is an NFL caliber athlete with an intriguing skillset, but I have a hard time translating an NFL role for him based on what he does at GT.

USC showed a little bit of everything tonight. Hamilton looked good. Lattimore ran well but still doesn't really look like his old self. He's going to be a good player as is though. The defense looked amazing. Clowney is obviously a special talent, but the rest of the line showed out too. The secondary also looks really good. D.J. Swearinger is a good player and a nice prospect.
Georgia got dominated at the line on both sides of the ball. IThat defense is not nearly as good as it's made out to be, and that includes their NFL prospects, except for Jones. Jones is good, if not top five good, at least top ten. He's a smart, instinctive, natural linebacker with elite size. Good balance, good flexibility, and good burst. Looks nice in coverage and pursuit while also being a potent blitzer and outside rusher. He's one of the best pure 3-4 OLBs to come out in a while (not that there have been many pure 3-4 OLBs).
But I'm not at all sold on Jenkins or Geathers or Ogletree, I think they're all overrated based on their size. Jenkins is merely alright to me. An NFL player no doubt, but I doubt he's anything special at the next level. I probably like him less than I did Alameda Ta'amu, who ended up being a later pick than most projected. There is a huge difference in the level of play of the top SEC defenses like Alabama and LSU and even Florida and USC versus the Georgia guys.
Rambo is someone you take the bad with the good, but he's a mid-rounder at the earliest, probably go in the late fourth or fifth. Honestly, he's one fish I'd probably throw back. The missed tackles, blown coverages, and penalties aren't worth it to me. Swearinger is a better player and prospect IMO. Better tackler, can come up and play in the box or go out and make some plays in zone coverages.
------------
Hankins is as impactful as advertised. Classic 4-3 under tackle despite his size. He won't get stats but devour the line of scrimmage time after time. He's a force of nature.
I like Rex Burkhead and Amir Abdullah. Both good fits for our scheme.

Exciting comeback from A&M. Jake Matthews is an absolute beast. Puts a lot of guys on their ass and blocks with attitude. Smart player too. Highly cognizant, outstanind with blitz pickup, ideal zone blocker but brings top notch power to the position. He would be an absolute steal in the second round if he were to make it that far. But considering how good he is, hard to belive that'll happen. Big old Luke Joeckel was excellent too, although I think he might have been in on a bad pressure that nearly led to a safety right at the end of the game. Just a wonderfully gifted and smooth athlete and runner who can really do anything he wants at the LT position athletically.
I like brawlers like Jake Matthews though, especially when we're talking RT.
A&M's QB looked great in the fourth quarter, and Swope had a nice release, route, and adjustment to the ball in the air on the game winning TD catch. Mike Evans is a blooming star who is going to be big time by the time he comes out. Definite Vincent Jackson air about him.
A&M also has some nice linebackers. Sean Porter is a nice prospect and Jonathan Stewart popped. He's huge and talented and when he's on, he's on. I don't like his resume outside of this game and the Florida game though. Spells inconsistency to me.
------
Okafor and Jeffcoat are legit, I meant to tune in for Texas' secondary specifically, but came away impressed by those two instead. It's nice to see some outstanding classic 4-3 ends like them, felt almost like that was a dying breed.
Tavon Austin is incredibly dynamic, but WVU is really loaded with athletes and go 4 or 5 deep at every offensive skill position it seems. I wonder a bit what having that talent advantage is doing to inflate Geno Smith's draft stock.
All in all, Kevin Minter was the best player I saw today. Him followed by Clowney, Okafor, and Jones on defense, then maybe Te'o and Hankins. On offense, I liked DeAndre Hopkins, Tavon Austin, and Jake Matthews.

Austin is the Y, Bailey the Z, different roles. Yea both can intermingle, cross pollinate, but Austin is so well suited for that Y Cross, Mesh and that Curl Option to extended Hitch route.
Bailey is scheme diverse enough to play outside in college, maybe less so in the NFL - I don't know, but speculate. But, I do believe he has enough athleticism to play in the Slot. I think he has to alter his game some for the NFL.
Austin is already defined. It's clear that Austin is perfect for the Slot as an Air Raid Y. They are similar but different.
The differences exist in their physical builds. To me they are just really subtle, for the purpose of observation but doesn't really change how I feel about them. Bailey is larger, but not large - by NFL standards, 5'10" 190 (by general consensus). Austin, people will question his size no matter what, whether it be 5'8" / 5'9' 175 or 5'10' 185.
...
(Austin) I like him more than Hilton last year, crisper routes, better hands.
I think Elam played some of the best football on Saturday too.

Vaccaro kind of disappointed me yesterday. He had to missed talks that turned into big games.
