Yup. Expect the no-calls on holding to skyrocket in the coming weeks as teams take advantage.

Changed my mind after week 2. Get Hochuli and his guns back on the field.

This was a bad week for the refs. Every game I watched the teams have skirmishes after every other play. It's not about the missed holding or pass interference calls. Take a look at the Giants/Bucs cheap shot at Manning; The Bills claiming the Chiefs getting dirty, the Lions cheap hit on Alex Smith, & the debacle of the Eagles/Ravens and Skins/Rams pettiness lumped in with horrible officiating. You've got to get that under control. In another week, it's going to be a full blown riot out there.

The refs don't know how to control the game, and the players don't respect these replacement refs. I knew this was going to happen sooner than later. Like Ren said, the game is too fast for them.

The league office is ridiculous. It's not like these dudes are asking for a king's ransom. And the NFL is just playing a waiting game, gambling until something (or someone) gets so ****ed up that they have no choice but to cave.

As far as I'm concerned, the refs should get paid about 1 million per game. Goodell is ruining the sport. This guy needs to go

But it shouldn't have to get to that point. We knew the officiating was terrible during the preseason, and teams don't give a **** during the preseason, so there was nothing to have to control. This is for real know and the refs are in over their heads. The NFL needs to pull their heads out of their asses and put the best guys on the field for the safety of their players (isn't that what the NFL clamors for every week?)

We lost the game yesterday, but I hope Christ is watching those guys out there on the field. Someone is going to get seriously injured with all these illegal hits. I'm suprised Davis got up after that cheap shot. It's beyond blatant and needs to be addressed immediately. I wonder if the NFLPA has any grounds to get involved, we are talking about player safety after all.

They are hypocrites. The NFL makes so much money off fo their product that it's ridiculous, yet they have replacement refs out there, ruining the quality of their product in the process. They shouldn't have even had to bat an eye at this. Unbelievable.

if one of the redskins players gets injured because of these stupid replacement referees letting cheap hits happen, im going to write a letter to roger gooddell myself. and the thing that makes me very angry is the buccaneers new head coach being like "i dont know that rushing the QB on a kneeldown is or isnt allowed in the NFL, i dont know if teams do that or not"....uhhhhh what do you think???? it could get a QB injured!!!! get a brain!!!! just tell your defense that the team lost (otherwise why would the opposing QB be kneeling the ball late in the 4th quarter) and just move on to the next game. he is a class A douchebag.

These refs are too scared to stand up to the players. We need the real refs back.

My feelings exactly. Players seem to be taking liberties they wouldn't normally take to test the limits of the replacement refs. I've never seen so much extracurricular crap as I did in yesterday's game.

It's pretty clear Jeff Fisher has coached his team to push the envelope after the whistle until the refs make them stop. The refs need to start making examples of some of these guys or it'll only get worse.

As far as "Pushing the envelope" or "Toeing the line" is concerned, I don't think the refs even know where that line is, therefore rendering them powerless to stand up to anything, and if they did, it would probably be on something that doesn't warrant it, because they're so clueless.

Fred Davis damn near got his head taken off. A Pee Wee League ref should've been able to make that call. The dude had clear malicious intent, and didn't give a ****. These refs are a joke.

Between this and the total mishandling of the saints situation I've never felt less confident about the people running the league.
how about the hypocrisy of saying he is for safety while having these refs out there? teams are now pushing the boundaries and someone is going to get seriously hurt.

There's too much "Just let them play" stuff going on, and guys are starting to take advabtage of it.
or how about players knowing they can influence these refs. When we had it 1st and goal on the 1 yard line and got flagged for the false start. The Rams pointed out the false start which lead to the call.

You can clearly influence these jokers. Shanahan should tell the players this.
