Choosing two out of Reed Doughty, Madieu Williams and DeJon Gomes is not good. Then when you're going to New Orleans to suit up against Brees and company?
I'd like to see Gomes and Williams... I guess. We need to attempt to defend the pass.
One day we will get lucky and not have an injury or suspension to our thinnest group of players. Seems to happen every single year.
saw it on the Bleacher Report and
tweeteed by Adam Shefter "Mike Shanahan said S Brandon Meriweather sprained his MCL and PCL during practice and will mist tow to four weeks"....that sucks
The news at Safety just gets better and better. Not much we can do about injuries though. Those are going to happen regardless.
2. When Jets fans heard the news that they're favorite team would not keep Jim Leonhard, a safety that has been the quarterback of the Jets defense with a great amount of success, they were very skeptical of the decision. Now after four preseason games, LaRon Landry has helped make Jets fans forget about the absence of Leonhard. The new Jets safety, who signed with them this off-season has made a big splash in New York so far. Game in and game out, LaRon has tackled with authority, giving the Jets some the biggest hits they've had this preseason. Landry had 7 combined tackles, 4 total tackles, and 3 assists. While maintaining his intimidating presence, the safety also intercepted the opposing quarterback twice, once in the New York Giants game, the other in the Carolina Panthers game. With that being said, LaRon Landry has been a monster this preseason, being both a big hitter and a effective safety in harmony. Look for LaRon Landry to lay down some of the hardest hits the 2012 NFL season will have to offer! After all he is the strongest NFL athlete...

yeah like when we let Champ Bailey go everyone on this board was like good riddance....Landry will be a beast for the Jets....we should admit it...the same can be said about Drew Brees which is why nobody touched him...he goest to the Saints and the rest is history...it's not like we were deep at safety when we let him go...the Jets paid him a pittance
This team's medical staff seems to have a habit of rushing players back before they're fully ready. I'd rather go with Gomes/Doughty in 1 game then 2-4.
our safeties sucked before and after the release of Landry
That stinks, I was hoping to see him out there
