All you betters out there- let's make some money!

    Two plays this week:

$110 on Broncos -1.5 vs. Steelers (Pittsburgh's defense is banged up and Clark is out because of the altitude. Manning's highly anticipated debut wills Denver to the win).
$55 on Colts +10 vs. Bears

Good luck this year. Let's try to help each other out.

I think I'm the only one betting this year but I'll give it a bump. If no one responds I'll let it die.

$220 on Saints -2.5 vs. the Panthers. I really expect the Saints to come out strong. Panthers looked fairly weak last week, I don't see them beating that small spread.

$200 on Lions +270 vs. the 49ers. Admittedly the Niners looked strong last week, but the Lions are a passing team and I feel the Niners are better against the run than pass. Taking a shot at a big payoff. Emotions will be high after the confrontation last year between Harbaugh and Schwartz lol.

I like the Saints, not the Lions.

Then again, I took the Bears last night at +220. . . terrible.

Gonna bump this real quick for the conference championships. Right now it is:

    Niners -4.5 vs. Falcons
    Patriots -9 vs. Ravens

Predictions? I'm thinking about teasing the Niners to +1.5 and the Ravens to +15 and putting $330 on it. Both bets have to hit in order for me to win the bet. I am fairly confident the Niners are going to win the game, +1.5 is just an added cushion in case they win by a small margin (or lose by 1). Torn on the other, I also can tease the Pats down to -3. So the question is, Ravens +15 or Patriots -3? What's the better bet?

You haven't posted your season totals. Or did you have a McD5 style meltdown and lose a ton?

Ha nah I just haven't been posting, didn't seem like anyone was all that interested in betting. I'm probably up a couple hundred on the year. I don't keep tabs and don't bet crazy like that. My biggest bet and win was $220 on the Chiefs +13 against the Steelers on that Monday night game. The game Big Ben went out with an injury. I remember it was raining and I thought the Chiefs would keep it somewhat close. I was right.

So Ravens +15 or Pats -3? Both spreads could cover obviously, but which one is more likely to hit?

I think the better play is the to tease the under up over 50.

Thought I read where the last 4 Pats/Ravens games have been decided by a score or less

Hmm that is an option. Currently it is 51.5 in the Ravens/Patriots game. So that would be over 45.5. If the line moves down to 51 and I can get over 45 then I might pull the trigger. That 24-21 final scares me though!

I love Baltimore plus nine. So plus fifteen is just a bonus.

Everyone loves the Niners, I think I have to take the points with Atlanta. I think that line is a little out of whack

Good info. All the more reason I think Ravens +15 is a good bet. As good as the Patriots offense looked against the Texans I think the Ravens have a better defensive scheme and their offense is much better than the Texans. These teams know each other well.

I think the 49ers game depends on whether Justin Smith plays. The 49ers front seven is scary, less so with Smith out. Michael Turner sucks now, Atlanta is going to throw. SF was rated #4 against both the pass and the rush, but gave up 19 passing TD's and only 7 rushing TD's. If Matt Ryan has time to throw, Atlanta could put up some points. Don't know if they can stop the 49ers offense, but I'd stay away from the line. I'd take the points with Baltimore. I think NE will win, but 9 is a lot for a championship game.

Really wish I had jumped on the Niners/Falcons scrum when the line first came out, it opened at SF -1. The Pats -9 seems far too high a line with how close those teams always seem to play.
