I wouldn't call orakpo's situation minor. Having an injury you had surgery on flare up all the time isn't good at all

Clinton Portis played with I believe five separate reported nagging injuries. (shoulder, forearm, wrist, knee, ankle)

He's in a situation where the injury if it doesn't receive the proper care, he may never return to his prior form. It's not about being tough. It's about making sure he's healthy so he can continue to have a productive career

Harder to do that now with player safety being a big issue. Ronnie Lott cut a piece of his finger off so he could get back in a game. I forgot about Portis' laundry list of injuries, so i knew when he missed a game, it was serious.

I never play the "man up" game because we never know. I just generally give the benefit of the doubt to the player and acknowledge that there are certainly guys willing to play through more pain than others. But I don't know if Rak's injury is something horrible debilitating to where he can't function it if he is just unwilling/unable to fight through the pain. I have no idea. So it's probabaly best to leave it alone.
