Exactly. We need a healthy Fletch on the field. What is the latest? Hard to filter through the thread to see actual injury updates.

I have plantar fasciitis and it's no fun, left foot hurts like crazy. I think I got it when I bought some waterproof shoes for dog walking and they didn't have arches. I'm doing exercises and wearing arches in all my non-arched shoes now. It will take about 5 months of concerted effort to get back to where I was previously.

If Garcon as a tear in that tissue, then that must really hurt and will take a longer time to heal, maybe he'll need surgery. Tough break for him and the team.

I mean, you really have to wonder sometimes.. Just another area of repeated incompetence on the team, that never gets addressed.. What major ties do Shanny, Allen and the staff have to these trainers and physicians?? Are they really that hard to replace? If there's some downside to replacing trainers/physicians, when season after season you experience "more" than your share of injury and reinjury, I certainly don't know it..

Anyway, hope Fletch can give it a go on Sunday, even if it's just 1 play to extend the streak.. It's not like were going to be in position to extend the season anyway.. That's a bright spot we should keep the shine on, if at all possible!! HAIL!!

Im assuming our #1 need will be CB, then FS. If Hall is able to be retained though, can we move him to FS? Is Hall a goner regardless? i wish I knew this cap stuff a little better. Can we afford to sign a stud WR too with the 18 million cap penalty? All kinds of questions
I figure if you dump Moss or trade him after this rejuvenated season maybe for a 6th or something that frees up what $6million? Then we will be saving a lot of money with Davis injury now, he can't command top dollar. So maybe we shave $2million a year off his contract. That is $8million free right there that could go to Wallace. Throw in another $3-4 out of pocket or so to get him the money he wants and maybe you can find a way to swing it.

Then we can drop Brown, restructure Hall and a few others in addition to the $6million or so we are carrying over, we might be able make it work and make some cheap secondary moves to improve through FA. I stand by that it wouldn't take much to fix our defense assuming we get a new DC. Then we could go BPA on defense in the draft to get more playmakers on that side of the ball (exception being RT)

Might be worth and and could help the defense out more by creating an offense so unbelievably explosive they can outscore anyone. RG3, Morris in the backfield, Wallace, Garcon on the outside, Morgan and Hank inside. You have Davis at TE. We could even bring in a constantly fresh Robinson for some of those option packages out of the backfield. How would you defend that? Downright scary. What a dream. That offense is young and loaded.

But my numbers could be way off, I'm really tired.

We only have $3.8 Million to spend the rest of the year or carry over to help with $18 Million penalty

The Redskins Training staff is a mystery on the level of Danny Smith. You'd think with no salary cap on the training staff, we'd have the best training staff in the league. Im not there and am not a doctor so I guess in the end I have no clue, but I just gotta believe our staff has been subpar for quite some time or like always, the redskins have the worst luck with injuries which leads to even more, supernatural type thoughts (absolutely cursed). Terrell Suggs tore his Achilles over the summer and played last week. Landry missed 2 years.

Also, is anyone else worried about Davis now? I could totally see us not giving him as much as he is looking for because of his injury and someone else out there needing a TE will. We have seen so many talented draft picks walk, hope the new management changes that.

So I guess the Jets will sign Fred Davis in 2014-2015 after we are forced to start Cooley for most of that time?

The Jets are finally going to get revenge for the Jetskins of a decade ago.

Strangely, would you be all that surprised if things played out that way?

Considering how overrated Dustin Keller is, I wouldn't be.

Apparently there are two seperate issues with Fletch right now. One is the hamstring issue he suffered in last weeks game. The other is a balance issue which he is seeing a neurologist for.
The press asked a Redskins executive about the salary cap penalty and the executive responded, "Ask John Mara." So the press asked Mara and he said, “What they did was in violation of the spirit of the salary cap. "

Oh I see now, even though there was no actual salary cap in 2010 according to the CBA, the "spirit" of the salary cap still existed. Thanks for clearing that up Mara.

I like how people make claims about the trainers and doctor and can't name a single one...and probably don't have any idea what a trainers or doctors job is like. It is a legitimate question, but it definitely just reeks of being an easy scapegoat after some really awful luck. It's not like our injuries were that bad last year - the worst ones were 4 game suspensions for the TE and LT. Outside of Landry which I can probably agree someone may deserve to be fired for, Tim Hightower tore his ACL which happened to Adrian Peterson of all people, Jamaal Brown is 30something years old. Ravens have terrible injuries this year, Giants get injuries all the time (Nicks, Bradshaw is banged up, their olineman, their dbacks), and they won the freakin Super Bowl!

The Laron Landry angle is the only leg you have to stand on, but I agree that is a debacle, cause he was playing awesome when Haslett first started if I recall correctly.

I think Garcon should go ahead and get the surgery and come back 100% for next year. By the time he's even ready to do strenuous activity, and get into game shape, we could be looking at Wk 12-14, not to mention going into the fire after all of this time off, where (knowing our luck), he'll probably just hurt something else.

At the end of the day, I just don't want the dude to have to worry about the nagging foot all throughout the season, because I'm not sure that with all of the action that is required to put on that foot, it will be healed 100% to where he no longer has to worry about it for the rest of the season.

Garcon hurt his foot in the first quarter of game one and it took this long to discover that it is a a torn tendon?
