I saw that quote and did a face palm! I think he wil give it a go this week and depending how it goes tough it out the rest of the season. If he is ineffective or we keep losing and its pointless we should shut him down and have go the surgery route. Even if surgery is not a guarantee its probably a better bet than just crossing your fingers and hoping for the best.
So yeah, don't hold out hope for Brown
From 980's twitter
Just got a call back from Jammal Brown who left #Redskins Park earlier. Says "I really can't talk about it." & called it a "medical issue."

He said he'll be back tomorrow so take that how you like

UH OHHH! Here we go again. Brown may have to retire if he keeps re-injuring it (assuming the medical issue is his hip) He may suffer when he gets old because of his size. Hopefully its something other than his hip. It may be he is out of shape and pushed himself too hard.
Not a suprise, hope it is minor. Coming back from a very serious injury(s) and his ability to compete this year was a longshot at best. If he can get back and continue see if he can rehab for next year. If reinjured it is time for a medical retirement as it would appear his body has just broken down.
Brown stinks anyway and wont be on the roster next yr. Do you think he would do us a solid and retire so we dont have to pay him the rest of that terrible contract?
Eh I didnt think so either...
Didn't count on Brown this year anyway, so it's not a big loss to me. He'll be a June 1st cut anyway.
Redskins 2013 Opponents:
Home- Dallas, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco, Kansas City, San Diego
Away- Dallas, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Green Bay, Minnesota, Atlanta, Denver, Oakland
Poor Jamal, he gave it his all.
The hip is poor, he'll be no more.
"It was like he was Jason on 'Friday the 13th' -- man just wouldn't go down," - Honolulu bar patron on Trent Williams being tasered and smashed over the head with a champagne bottle.
I hope that Brown can pocket some NFL money and live a comfortable rest of his life. Obviously playing football isn't in the cards for him anymore. I wish him the best, but it's time for him to make sure he isn't in a wheelchair by the time he's 40.

Yeah Brown is pretty much finished. Even if he plays this year it normally takes a whole year for leg injuries to completely heal, get a full year cycle of practice, weight room, full slate of games etc so i wouldn't expect Brown to be at 100 percent until 2014. If he can't get on the field this year, it's time to move on.
