If he is still having pain, I'm all for shutting him down and talking to him about persuing the surgery. As said before, the guy has never had surgery in his life, so I think he's a bit scared. But I'd rather have him take care of it now and be ready for OTAs, then try rest, come back in the spring and have it still be an issue.
Anyone know how the progress with Orakpo, Davis, Neild and Carikker is since their surgeries.

could only happen to us where our #1 FA pickup and #1 WR gets hurt scoring a TD in the 1st quarter of his first game and spends the entire year on the bench thanks to one toe.
same goes with our best tight end who went down untouched on a play that only happened cause of a bad call.
I know we've made tons of mistakes from the owner on down in the last 20 years but at some point you just have to think this team just has rotten bad luck.

I tend to hold that this is all pretty true for this team the last 20 years. I remember thinking it when Jansen went down in the exhibition game the year after Gibbs took us to the play-offs in only his 2nd year back and we were imagining how good our O could be even with Mark Brunell. Then I think of all similar **** (and much worse) that's happened since.![]()

My and my buddy actually feel he did hurt it on that play. This is like Gus head banging and then getting concussed.
That jolt (coming down on his feet) could have started the process to where he is today.
other than just not liking showboating, i am not sure what evidence there is to support that theory. he certainly looked full-speed in new orleans up until he got hurt.
