Very curious about Meriweather and Brown updates. I'm not too optimistic about Garcon.

we can't afford 3 mil for a backup safety

    - Sits out, for what everyone thinks is just a few games
    - Injury keeps lingering

If the story continues to unfold this way, Pierre will be back at the very end of the season to disrupt any chemistry the team has built to this point.
If he doesn't come back after the bye week they're going to probably give him surgery and shut him down... the sooner the better if that's the case... it's a tear in the planter

Vinny Cerrato believes he gave Jim Zorn a roster that can make the playoffs. A playoff kicker doesn't miss that kick. A playoff safety doesn't bite multiple times by a double move in the same game.

Brown is in no shape to play.. Should be ready to backup after the Dallas game.

    From rotoworld:

A source tells ESPN Radio 980 that the chances of Pierre Garcon (foot) playing this week are "better than you think."
Garcon is doing everything he can to avoid season-ending surgery. He's gutting it out through pain in practice this week, hoping to prove to coaches he can be explosive despite the tear in his foot. Owners hanging on to Garcon should give it a few more days before bailing. We should have a resolution here by Friday afternoon.

Redskins RT Jammal Brown (hip surgery, PUP) says he wants to play "as soon as possible."
Brown practiced Monday for the first time all season and emerged feeling good. The Redskins have roughly two weeks to decide if they'll activate him. A healthy Brown would be a major upgrade on the right side for both Robert Griffin III and Alfred Morris. Current starter Tyler Polumbus is a journeyman.

Man we need Garcon. He is are only threat right now. It would be nice for him to take some pressure from Hankerson so he can develope quicker. I didn;t even think Brown would play another game.

Which is a sad commentary because this was supposed to be the deepest WR corps we've had in a while.

Mixed feelings about Garcon hittting the field this weekend.

I don't want to rush him back and end up sacrificing his foot long term.
