maybe Stern should fine the ton of teams that half ass most games. You know when you watch the Spurs you are watching quality basketball.
I would have watched this whole game if I knew Barkley was on the announcing team.
"Wade is looking at the officials every possession"
Charles Barkley - "I did that in my last two years too"

If Comrade Stern follows throuh with the penalties, I smell a lawsuit.
This game is great! Clutch Ray Allen shot.
you know maybe Stern warned everyone about the fine so people would watch the game to see what would happen haha!
And another thing. If I'm not mistaken, the NBA price their games according who the visting team is. In other words, a tix to the Spurs/Heat is probably more expensive than a tix to Bobcats/Heat. This might sound crazy and IT WILL NOT HAPPEN, If you really think about the fans could probably sue.
Just think about you going to see the Rolling Stones but Mick Jagger decides to take the night off.
Agreed. Stern is way out of line here and the Spurs should fight any "sanctions" with their own lawsuit against Stern and the NBA. It's so out of line that it's almost comical. Teams in the NBA, and every sport, tank every year. Look no further than Golden State which tanked the last two months of last season to keep their first round pick. The results for him going down this road won't be good.

The problem with teams tanking is that it really can't be proven. We all know teams tank, but you really can't prove it.
Wade is nearing the end of his powers. He about to be a real role player now.
Its sad to see.

And Stern does have a point about the Spurs. It is unfair to the fans.
However, and this is why I dislike Stern as a commissioner, he listens to the media too much.
If he didt say anything before the game, the Spurs play like they do, no one is talking about Stern's punishment but instead the great game the Spurs reserves played.
Stern always feels the need to put himself in front of the cameras and it backfires on him. Thats where Goodell learned it from.
Stern is a clown. Fining/sanctioning the Spurs? What a joke.
Guess what? Popovich has NO OBLIGATION to ANYONE except his own team. He has to do what's in the best interests of his team. If that means resting his vets, then so be it. The guy has four rings, he knows what he's doing.
First Stern played GM, now he's playing coach. What's next, is he gonna step on the court and start shooting Js?
"In 2012 the Redskins are gonna be the NFC East champions, and that starts right f–king today.” Kyle Shanahan, 1/1/12
