Why do NBA teams have the worst names?
Why do NBA teams have the worst names?
Ok, that's fair. I just assumed you meant he was better than Jordan.

Is Pelicans their state bird or something? Because yeah, that's pretty ridiculous. Why wouldn't they call themselves something like the Cajuns? New Orleans Jazz was perfect. And it doesn't make any sense being Utah's nickname.
At least the Hornets name is going back where it belongs.
Their colors are gonna be gold, navy blue and red. That should be interesting.
Btw, I just read the article. WTF is Krewe? Whatever it is, that name sounds better than the Pelicans. With a name like New Orleans, with the "s" on the end, it would seem like a nickname with no s on the end would be better.

"John Wall will never be as good as Kyrie Irving was in his first week in the NBA" - David Falk, published February 14, 2013.
Jordan wouldn't lose to a pitiful team like the Wizards so often.
Jordan played for the pitiful Wizards.
LeBron is a great player, he'll go down as one of the best ever. Better than Jordan? Unlikely. Better than Kareem? Unlikely.
Saying he's the most talented ever is abstract and vague. He's certainly not the most accomplished ever. Jordan or Russell or Kareem were. Nor the greatest athlete the league has seen. Wilt was. Nor the most freakishly gifted with a basketball in his hands. I'd argue Bird was. Nor is he the greatest player ever. Jordan was.
But LeBron has undoubtedly been the best player of this era, has been since his second or third year.

Just messing with RA, man.
Did you guys see RG3 there? I know Monday night after the game he was saying he can't even go to the mall. I wonder if people give him his space when he goes to games? They showed he and Lebron giving daps. That was cool (even though Bron is a Pukes fan).
Yeah I saw him. Looked like Trent and a few others were there. Looked like they gave him his space, though I'm sure he could get mobbed if he went out of the fan exits. He probably went towards the locker room with the Wizards to avoid the huge crowd.
I think basketball fans are more chill. I remember seeing Portis a couple times at Heat/Wizards games in the past, and most people left him alone.

there is nothing unlikely about it unless you just keep saying its unlikely
Lebron is about to be 28 at the end of the month and has many years left in his career. I dont see why its implausible to say he could be better than Jordan, and say he is as talented as Jordan right now.
I dont get why people dont want to appreciate the present. Its not a diss of Jordan, its more of an appreciation of how great a talent Lebron is.
and the ironic thing about the bolded part, Lebron may not be #1 but he is def in the top 5 in those categories, which you probably could not say about any of those other players.

I think Lebron only played in one of these last 3 games in fairness.
I do remember Jordan losing to the Wizards in 1997 at United Center. I remember LaBradford Smith giving Jordan that work in the early 90s as well.
This is that nostalgia thing I keep harping about.

There are bad names everywhere we've just grown used to them. Dolphins would be no better than Pelicans if we hadn't grown up with it simply always existing. There are several NFL names that if someone came up with them today people would think ridiculous. Browns, 49ers, and Packers to name a few.
Don't think I'll ever get used to wizards though.
I personally think the Bucks have the worst name in the NBA. Who the hell enjoys cheering for deer.
ZBo's statline tonight
38 points
22 Rebounds
15-22 from the Field
Best big man in the league not named Tim Duncan
