The ESPN articles about Kobe hitting 30K points all mention he's the youngest player to do it as if that makes him more special without mentioning the obvious fact that he's already played in more games than Wilt or Jordan did in their entire careers...
I like how one article lauds him for his consistency with another elephant in the room being it took him more attempts to get to 30k than any of the others because of how many of those off shooting nights he's had throughout his career. To put things in context, Kareem shot .559 for his career. Malone shot .516. Wilt .540. Jordan .497. Kobe .454.
Kobe is having a great season so far but he's had whole seasons of poor shooting before that this won't make up for in his percentages even if he sustains this pace throughout the entire year.

Congrats on 30,000 Kobe. Still not a top 5 player ever.
They're also missing the fact that soon with in the next 5-6 years Lebron will break that "youngest to 30k"... In fact i think Lebron @ 27 is only about 600 or so points away from 20k.

Knicks crushed the Heat (in progress) without Anthony. Steve Novak is out there doing a discount double check. Ouch. Second time this season the Knicks have crushed the Heat.

The Knicks better thank the Wizards, RG3, and The Stadium Club for this.

Come on. It`s obvious the Knicks are still riding the energy of Hurricane Sandy! I`ve got them as a 7th seed in the East at best!
The Heat are in a slump. They've had a tendency to do this. They'll look mortal and sometimes let inferior teams hang with them but they can flip the switch suddenly and become unstoppable. They'll be alright. They'll finish the season with high 50's win total and be a formidable #1 or #2 seed.
That said, the Knicks are legit. I was ready to buy in last year. They are a tremendously balanced team and Felton has been so much better this year than he was last year. They're 3 PT% is going to tail off eventually but they'll still have scoring and they can rebound and play defense. No significant weaknesses.
I think Miami actually has a more pronounced weakness in how bad they are at rebounding. This has been a weakness every year. You can't have your SG and SF be your best rebounders. I don't understand why they haven't gone out and gotten an Ersan Ilyasova type whose job is just to grab boards and knock down open shots.

Have I ever mentioned that Dwight Howard is a herb?
LinkThe Los Angeles Lakers have struggled to begin the 12-13 NBA season, but Dwight Howard seems to already have decided which team he will sign with as a free agent this summer.
"I know," said Howard when asked if he knows which team he will play with next season.
Man he's obnoxious. He's got a lot of non-basketball bull going on for him. It does not seem like he's taking any of this very seriously. Give me a basketball player. Someone serious like Durant or Rose or CP3 who is all about BBall. Dwight is immature.
Regarding which team he'll go to, I wouldn't be surprised if he finds a way to Brooklyn.
The one team I don't want to see Dwight sign with is Chicago. He could put them over the top. Imagine a front court of him and Noah. I don't want to see that happen. I also want to see Derek Rose get a ring on his own.

Given the fortunes of my sports teams in the past 2 decades... I really can`t ask for anything unless I`m insistent on getting disappointed. Now, I find myself hoping my teams win certain games against specific opponents.... and it`s coming to fruition.
But I`m greedy today. Not only do I want the Knicks to beat the Lakers... I want them to ****ing crush them and humiliate that smug D`Antoni. We`ll probably lose now... but I won`t change how I feel.
