The Knicks are just destroying the Lakers.

Christmas has come early for you.

We'll grind that axe, for a long time!

Right now, the Lakers are not a very good team. The defense sucks all around. They can't shoot outside of Kobe, and also the style that D'Antoni runs does not fit the Lakers. It's a lose-lose situation right now. and to be honest, Kobe is having a MVP season wasted right now.

I'm looking forward to the Lakers firing D'Antoni and once again begging Phil to come back to bail them out. Which will probably coincide nicely with the return of their fallen starters.

TBH, I don't think Phil comes back to LA. It's personal between him and Jim Buss. The hatrid is so thick, you can cut a knife with it.

If the Knicks keep shooting like they have they will win the championship this year.

But I just don't see anyway you can sustain that kind of shooting over a full 100+ games. Everything they hoist up is going in. Even if defenses never adjust to them, the law of averages has to catch up eventually.

I don't think there's much chance the Knicks win the title. And I think Amare is gonna screw up their chemistry once he comes back. Now the guard that is out (forgetting his name), he's definitely gonna help when he comes back.

The perception that Stoudemire and Melo cannot co-exist is based on a chemistry and system that no longer exists. Just because it didn`t work before... doesn`t mean it won`t in the future.

Woodson knows how to use his guys... he`s not overcome by large egos. You`ll see.

    And it`s SG Iman Shumpert.

I don't think those two can co-exist in any system. Mark it down. They won't be nearly as good when he returns. And I'm not sold on Woodson just yet. Too small a sample size. Mike Dunlap had the Bobcats off to a great start, too (for them). They've now lost 10 straight. Things can change quickly in this league.

Shumpert, yeah. That's the guy. Kid can ball.

No problem! Send Amare to LA so he can reunite with his favorite coach and point guard. The Knicks can take Gasol off the Lakers.

Stoudemire is going to come off the bench when he comes back.

The Knicks are 35-10 in the regular season since Woodson has taken over. And something ridiculous like 19-1 at home. That`s not a small sample size... and the latter number is not a fluke.

Phil should go to OKC. They have better athletes and they aren't about to get ruined by the luxury tax.

Amare never like D`Antoni. They had to have a meeting prior to his signing in New York just to hash matters out to see if they could exist together. $100M is a nice buffer.

As a Knicks fan... I always found it infuriating that fans kept harping for the team to trade for Nash. And D`Antoni would continually put key players in his doghouse for reasons no one ever knew... and coach would harp that he didn`t have the right guys to run his system -- yet he`s cycled through so many point guards with none enjoying any success. It`s as if the only guy in the NBA that can run his system is Steve Nash.

The Knicks aren't just the Carmelo show. They play magnificent team ball. Before this year they didn't have this. It was just spurts of either Amar'e carrying the load or Carmelo. They were having to run Carmelo at point forward last year. Now they run an awesome offense.

Amar'e is a pretty smart and versatile player and he's not selfish. He'll figure out how to fit in IMO. He'll have to if he wants to play because the Knicks have been dominant without him playing.

Ultimately I see his numbers taking a big dip but I see the Knicks getting a new dimension from him that'll make them even more dangerous. He can stretch the floor but gives them a tremendous low post scoring. They don't get that from Tyson Chandler and they have to play Carmelo at PF to get it now. He should fit in offensively.

The only questions I have are about his defense. The team is playing good defense right now. He's going to have to play good defense and he's always been an underachiever on D IMO. But defense is a lot easier for everyone when you've got Tyson Chandler at C.
