The soldiers gave three cheers as they urged their tired horses north across the uneven hills. Some of the mounts, exhausted after a week of almost continual marching, began to lag behind; others, spurred on by their enthusiastic riders, began to edge past the regiment's commander. "Boys, hold your horses," Custer cautioned; "there are plenty of them down there for us all."
by far the most lifeless, pathetic performance of the year and that is saying a lot. shanahan needs to GO!!! He is coaching like a desperate ****! Going for it 3 times on one drive? This team has no discipline, there is no explosiveness, no playmakers, no heart, NOTHING...The team has regressed big time AGAIN. 3rd year in a row we get worse as the weeks go on.
Pay sean payton 10 mil a year, find a hungry, creative, young defensive coordinator...i don't know if we can convince anyone to join this mess
We're a horribly coached undisciplined team on all three phases. We have a HISTORICALLY bad defense. Every player on D is playing like crap (Kerrigan and Fletcher included). We have a special teams that's had two punts blocked and really does nothing for the team in the return department. Our kicker has been perfect but is bad at kickoffs. The offense commits penalties left and right. They are always called for holding and guys have no clue how to line up on the ball. The fundamentals with this team is just atrocious. Shanahan better clean this stuff up quick.
I predict a "players only meeting".
Jim Haslett is a horrible coach.
I agree. It's okay to implement some aspects of the college spread. But what the Panthers, Broncos and now the Redskins have been forced to learn is that it is an alternate look out of a base set, not a base set. I think Kyle is overcompensating for the eroding talent base of the team too, we're down to our 3rd and 4th string at SEVERAL positions (Paulsen is at best a #2, Robinson and Hankerson are not ready to be matched up against the best opposing DBs yet, and our current safeties were supposed to be reserves from the start), and we're not the Packers who have had 5 or so years of good drafting to pick up the slack when that happens.
The problem is that Shanahan has made several major mistakes that are biting us in the ass - keeping Has because they were study buddies in his off year, keeping Danny Smith, trading for McNabb and Brown which forced us to pass up J.J Watt among other things (and we're now seeing that Kerrigan is a 2nd tier OLB, not a first tier OLB - he just doesn't have the physical profile to be elite), and I guess you can add stuff like signing Josh Morgan instead of Eric Winston.

This team lacks talent in a lot of areas for sure but there is no excuse for the mistakes that this team continues to make week in and week out. as far as I'm concerned its evident to me the Coaches are not doing a very good job all around, stupid penaltys, blown coverages, blown blocking assignments, dropped balls on and on. Unless this team can show some kind of urgency
after the Bi-week and win at least 5 out of 7 games its time for Shanny and his son to go bye bye along with the coaching staff before they ruin RGIII. With RG III here we will be able to attract a top tier Coach and get this train back on its rails heading in the right direction!! Hail!!!
Those are huge. Everyone knew JJ Watt was a beast and a perfect need position. Any fan of the NFL knows how much of a mediocre coach Haslett has been. I have zero experience being in an NFL war room and this was incredibly obvious to me and most fans.
I hate this organization.
