Amen, watching the Redskins for me means getting up at 9 and heading to the bar. By 130pm I'm normally a little drunk, angry and done with football for the day. At what point does one decide to just be productive on Sundays rather than suffer through the same month long losing streak, right in the middle of the season for the last 20 seasons? I'll always love the Redskins but man if this relationship doesn't have all the classic signs of an unhealthy addiction that doesn't even give me any sort of payoff or good feeling. Other than RGIII which honestly gives enough hope to keep coming back. Yup, unhealthy addiction.
This is unsportsman like but after Cam's second or third first down dance I was wanting someone, anyone, anywhere to take his head off. Sure there would've been a penalty and a big scuffle perhaps retaliation, but Cam doesn't have it in him to react properly. I know it's dirty but I couldn't believe I was watching a 1-6 team act like they clinched a division title.![]()
I take back all the bad things I said about Kirk Cousins
Someone tell me how we can't afford Bowe or Wallace?
RG3
Anyone thinking this will be turned around in another 2 years is crazy. The D needs to be totally rebuilt, and we still have no playmakers on O other than RGIII (maybe Garcon...but we dont know).
To me a playmaker is a player who can take nothing and make something out of it. A guy who can almost always beat the 1-1.
I love Morris. He is an awesome back but to me he's not a playmaker. I want him here for a long time but he doesn't the have breakaway speed. He's going to get us 4-5 yards a carry which is awesome, but he's not going to break a 70 yard run. Hes just not that fast. He will go as the o-line goes. Which is fine and like i said he's a must keeper. But we really need a guy who can break a 50-60 yard run. The holes are there, Morris gets a lot of 1-1 with a FS/SS/CB but he just cant beat the 1-1. Which like i said is fine, it's not his game.
Our current "change of pace" back Royster is a joke. His blocking is beyond terrible. Why we are taking Morris out on 3rd down i just dont get.

Sitting on the couch I told my wife that all Cam has to do is look and see who Josh Wilson is covering and throw to him. Literally the next play was the td to Smith (which was his first of the season)..Every big pass play Wilson was involved..I can't believe the coaches can't see that and bury him on the bench..
Matter of fact, I was at the Car-Skins game last year and Wilson was just abused all day.

Psalms 37:7 Wait patiently on the Lord, and fret not...
For one: The cap hit that we've taken in the form of $18 million currently, $18 million next year and $36 million in total.
For two: Those are big contract guys. Given that and the money we've tied up in Garcon, and considering that someday RG3 will need an extension (can't worry about that yet, but the thought needs to be there when building for the future) it's difficult to afford that kind of receiver. What needs to happen is we need to get a value guy in the draft or in FA and have them pan out to be better than anticipated. That's rare.
That said, with certain cuts and restructures, it may be possible to afford one. I don't know. Not sure many people do besides the guys around here who are good with the cap and the Redskins FO. I won't say it's NOT possible. I'd say it's not very likely to be something we can do given all of our holes.
Turned on the Broncos game and read the paper while it was on. Turned off football entirely when I finished reading the paper and watched James Bond movies until I went to bed. I should have washed and waxed my truck.

Well DeAngelo is a dumbass because it's our 6th loss. Jokes on him.

Disagree.
Morris makes the majority of his runs after contact.
It is not at all unusual for him to get a 12 yard run and run through four tackles.
Is "playmaking" limited to eye popping touchdowns?
I do believe that if yesterday we continued to allow Alfred to make plays, we would have had a much better chance to win.

I wonder if Mike has that Henry Winkler mentality in the Waterboy where he slowly and quietly backs behind the linemen to disappear?
Right now no receiver is worthy of lining up; that is, when they KNOW how to line up. Plaxico is looking nice right now, at least he goes up for the ball.
