Last thought: Cooley would have made the catches Niles Paul missed.

2009 regular season (we won by 3 despite Talib intercepting like 7 passes)
2010 regular season (we score late but botch the tying PAT)
I think 2004 with the Bucs was 16-13 or 19-16 also. We scored quickly but the game degenerated into one of those lame but close slugfests we tended to have in the Gibbs II era.

You will give the Redskins an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time you will help them accomplish wonders.

2007 we rallied to make it a 1-score game only to turn it over in the red zone.

Not necessarily, as the dynamic of the game would've been changed. The Bucs would've taken the XP rather than go for 2, and they would've gone for a TD at the end rather than play for a FG. We would've needed all 3 to still have a lead if they'd gotten the TD. Not saying he shouldn't be on the hot seat, but it's not as simple as you just made it out to be.

Defensively, we still have major weaknesses this season. Our secondary continues to get gashed at the most inopportune times. Thats twice already this season, we had a double digit lead only to lose it. Something is up with London this season. He's not playing like his normal self.

Probably because he's 37 years old.

They all count. Its the difference being up 7-8 late and only up 2. He nearly missed the last one too.

i thought the exact same thing. Paul has dropped more passes than he's caught lol. Maybe it's time to rethink this experiment with him at TE unless he's a better blocker?

Redskins are 10-15 in the redzone this year. Wow.

Now we need to work on that 3rd down efficiency and keep OUR defense off the field.

so far the guy is a lousy receiver. I'm amazed he was able to catch the kickoffs that went his way.. I fully expected to see them bounce off his hands or facemask.
Barry Cofield is LEGIT... no more nonsense about we need a "real" NT... HE IS THE REAL DEAL!!!! He goes to the Pro Bowl this year, book it!!!

I really don't understand it. I thought the Shannon Sharpe talk/thread this offseason was ludicrous but I did at least expect him to catch balls that hit in the damn hands when he is wide open. Put Paulsen in there he can catch too and nobody will pay attention to him in the passing game...

He played well last season, despite being one of the old guys.

So Kerrigan, Jackson, Cofield, Riley, and most of the D-line are "little help"?
