If Rob Jackson leads us to a Super Bowl win then I'll say he should be the full-time starter.

29.5 sacks in just over 3 years. 2 Pro Bowls. Teams gameplanning against him and having to double team him. I'd say he has.

How many of those Pro Bowls was he the alternate on and how many sacks has he had since his "move" was figured out?

Yeah, well Rob Jackson hasn't gotten a caveman on the field so I don't care!!!!!

But, what is this "move" you speak of??

I get frustrated with guys who I can look at and say "if he'd only do 'X,' he'd be exponentially better." Orakpo doesn't have the moves of an elite pass rusher. He really doesn't. Now, he makes his power and athleticism work. But he could be a MUCH better player if he had the moves that Kerrigan does. Kerrigan isn't the athlete that Rak is, but he gets there because of his moves and ability to fight a guy's hands off. I wish Rak would work on his moveset/hands.

Not a knock, just an observation.

Did you know Rak had more tackles and sacks last year?

Is it possible to believe that Rak isn't expendable, but to also think that Rob Jackson is underrated and will play well? Cause that's where my brain is.

Not only that King, and I love RAK as well but wouldn't the money be a factor considering the penalty and the need of an overhaul in the secondary? I think the bigger questions is the value, a top corner or depth at the LBer spot?

Orakpo makes Orakpo expendable. As a supposed "dominant pass rusher", he's severely underwhelmed IMO. Top that off with having an injury that he may never truly recover from and you have an expendable player. Kerrigan has already passed him as the best LB on the team and he's barely been here a year.

I agree with all of that, I just wonder where you put you're money at?

1 (Fletcher hasn't been voted in as a starter either, and has been named an alternate in at least 2 of his three. Does he get credit for those?)

When are you claiming his move was figured out?

Everytime we get some depth, we wanna get rid of it. Good forbid we should have good players in the second string.

Orakpo may be falling into the Laron Landry zone - high talent player whose performance has suffered over a two year period due to recurring injuries. Skins used a high draft pick on LL but weren't able to manage his trade value before his contract ended and his value disappeared. Let's hope we don't have the same fate with Orakpo.

Could the Skins make do with Rob Jackson + a draft pick in return for Orakpo? You would have to consider it.

So he literally had no impact on ANY SINGLE GAME yet he routinely leads the team in sacks?

So who on the Redskins impacts games in your opinion besides RGIII I guess?
