Yeah, it was a nice thought. But nothing so far indicates the thread title should be answered 'yes'.

Really missed Rak out there today, if anything today's game should prove that he is not expendable.
    Thanks Soup

You have a man-crush and an agenda, actually WATCHING the game you saw a much better pass defense.
Wait, are you actually arguing that Rob Jackson is a better pass rusher or all around player than Rak?

I just do not understand some skin fan. Instead of continuing building a solid team you want to to get rid of solid player. Rak is continuously being hheld on plays. That goes for kerrigan too. Support your team. HTTR

Jackson is doing a decent job of filling inf for Rak, but I cannot see him as an equivalent player, at least as far as talent and physical gifts go.

LOL Rob Jackson offers ZERO pass rush. Orakpo was sorely missed today.

This is the answer. Let's not poop on Jackson, either. He's simply not Rak. And for all the flak he gets, not many people in the league are as good as Rak.

Exactly. Not like we can have 53 Pro-Bowlers on the roster at the same time. Some guys are backups for a reason.

Let Jackson learn as a starter, we may be surprised at what develops.

Orakpo may not put up huge sack numbers like some of the big name guys but he made the QB uncomfortable. He made the offense account for him. He forced QBs to move around the pocket which led to sacks by other guys. We watched Matt Ryan pass the ball 50+ times today and he got hit maybe three or four times. That's pathetic. We don't have to come away from a game with 4 or 5 sacks but we have to have some form of pressure on the QB. Matt Ryan had a picnic back there today.

I'm just curious when the WWF "sleeper" hold became legal in the NFL. How many replays showing an O-lineman choking out our rushing LBs must we suffer through?

One thing I'd like to see is Kerrigan's football fundamentals rub off more on Orakp. I feel Rak is so good because he's so atheltically gifted, which is why at this point I feel Kerrigan is the better all around linebacker right now. I would not get rid of Orakpo unless you can find somebody better. I still feel we shouldn't overpay him just because of his potential, especially if he gets hurt again next year (this has the makings of a nagging injury given what it is)...
We don't know what we think, we don't know what we know. All we have to go on, is what we say and what we show...

I'm as big a Rob Jackson fan as we have, having played against him in high school (lost every time), but he's just not in Orakpo's league.

I haven't posted in this thread yet because I wanted a couple of games to watch jackson's play. While he has been good at times, don't think there is any reason why we would get rid of rak for jackson. With rak, we have bookend solid de/lb's. And, likke many have noted constant holding on rak throughout the years, now seeing same on kerrigan.......arm around the neck as kerrigan has beaten his man, guess that must not be holding.

It is obvious the last two weeks that the pass rush is not there. I am shocked the Skins have not brought someone in to fill the void.
