FWIW, I have seen the name before, and know he is from India and speaks often and devotedtly on God's existence (without usually claiming a particular faith in that process if I remember) and if I remember correctly, does feel End Days are coming (but that's fuzzy--also think he hates Stephen Hawkings lol). He is associated with Huping Hu, a like-minded soulwho is founder editor of SciGod and a lawyer by profession and biophysicist by education.
I did read the article and having heard of him before (but been awhile since his name came up---he's been in this area) decided to refresh my info on the dude, which is mainly from knowing a couple people familiar with him and the SciGod site and related matters, before reading the thread replies. Checking things out before jumping in is a standard procedure in certain threads and not a bad habit to have on ES.
He writes a great deal, and has a list of similar themed articles for the site:

He is very known to the group of fine-tuners and others who use science themes to support (or advance in more evangelical manner) a belief in God, if not usually not a well-defined God. This is a group whose web-presence has expanded considerably in 5 years (we have a UW student who's very into this topic and does research on it the last couple years).
Also associated (as many of this group are) with Stephen Meyer--- "the founder of Intelligent Design theory" and "creationist" ( "old earth" version if memory serves).
Per the thread, I think TB and Corc summed the actual article well, in their disparate but effective styles.
It was kind of fun to take some break time to refresh on this--and I also remembered this guy, KW Perott, from research, brandy, who may be fun to read for you. He's a New Zealander (like Australia, great place for all kinds of research these days) who argues against some of these "science-themed" positions from a non-theist side. I don't know how well he does it.
There's too many of all these guys on either side of every angle to keep track, but he seems to have respect and I do know he's regarded as a solid researcher. He's reported to be a good read.
His site is called Open Parachute. Get back to me if you go there and it sucks.![]()
