Fox News (and possibly other networks) air man committing suicide after police chase

Just happened a few minutes ago so I don't have a link and I'd rather not link to the video. Saw it as it happened while at work. Completely insane and outrageous. Any network that aired this piece of footage should be ashamed to call themselves a news agency.

What a disgrace.

Yeah, they cut away immediately. Shep seemed extremely pissed but handled it like a pro. He's a great broadcaster. It's the production department that screwed the pooch.

It's on youtube already should anyone want to see it. Not going to link. It's not terribly graphic, but it's pretty stunning. Shep Smith looked like he was about to jump out from behind his desk and strangle the producer.

Yeah, I saw it on Youtube. There's no blood, and it's noteworthy because the FOX News anchor is like "GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF! TOO LATE"

Um, I thought protocol was to run those kinds of things on delay. The last police chase I watched they even mentioned that footage was on a delay in case anything like that happened.

I get the issue with showing it but if you're watching a car chase then you're most likely waiting for something bad to happen, this sort of thing shouldn't be surprising.

Nobody's perfect. These things happen sometimes. Don't think we need to be too hard on Fox News over this. Shep was obviously upset about it.

I've always been confused as to why car chases are considered national news. I agree with Unforgiven too, if you're watching the chase you're probably wanting to see something bad.
Such is our society.

It's reality tv at it's finest/worst. People want a glimpse into forbidden and illegal acts. That's why shows like Cops will always get ratings.

I think we should be hard on whatever news stations aired it. This is thousands of times worse than some nip slip during the Super Bowl. I'm not calling out Fox News specifically (I just saw it on FN) because I understand that other news outlets made the same mistake. Shep specifically was great.

Smith looks absolutely disgusted. I have a feeling someone's gonna lose their job after not cutting away fast enough.

So what? They show **** like that all the time. The were showing video of the temple shooting a couple weeks ago. It looks almost like a video game or war. Big Bud Dwyer Deal.
