Note this fact everybody, even with the all of the losing seasons we have had, our Redskins have always found ways to beat the best teams in the NFL. I am talking teams who won divisions, NFC, AFC Championships, and yes Super Bowls as we swept the World Champions just last season. Somehow this team can play to the notch of the best in this league, and have done this with some of the lowest scoring offenses we have ever seen on display. 1 more note, he wears the #10! The Atlanta Falcons better watch their asses coming in here this Sunday, I don't care how undefeated they are.

idk what to think.. im approaching this one with zero expectations. id like to think the Skins approach every game with much to prove.. but they have to realize that there's much to gain from winning this game.

win this one and eyebrows will raise.

thankfully, this is the type of game that Robert Griffin lives for. imo, he has yet to fail... hell, we could lose in a hard fought, close game & still gain respect around the league.. of course, I want the dubya.

    no pressure, no ring?

    regardless, hail!

    i need a new sig

Skins definitely have a chance and could win the game, but they would have to play exceptionally well,....especially on defense. I think it will be close but not sure the D will be able to hold up.

BTW, the defense did NOT play "really well" against the Saints,...the were good. However, if they play "good" and get the three turn overs like in the Saints game then there's a good chance Skins win.

I definitely agree that we can hang with anybody. We have the perfect offense to compete with a team like the Falcons - the best rushing attack in the NFL. They have one of the NFL's worst rushing defenses. This could and should allow us to keep Matt Ryan off the field much like we did Drew Brees and that will be paramount to our success. In my opinion, if we stick to that gameplan, the outcome of the game will completely ride on the offense being able to score TOUCHDOWNS regularly and the defense being able to slow down (note: I did not say stop) the Falcons offense and occasionally limit them to a field goal/turnover/punt. This will be no small task, I fully expect another high scoring game...on Sunday I was saying I didn't really see a way to win the game. But by the end of their game against Carolina, I started feeling like we at least have a chance.

Well looks like Julio Jones hand is not 100%. I think they need to sit him and not make things bad for him and with their bye week coming up he will have three weeks of complete reset to his hand.

Agreed. In fact, just imagine how effective Jones, Roddy White and Matt Ryan all could be after the bye if given this week off. The Falcons should 'Strasburg' all three of them and then come back strong after the bye. The long-term benefit could be huge.

they will be expecting a run on the first play of the game... it would be obvious for us to try to get the ground game going early.

so... i think the first play of the game should be a bomb to Garcon.

    Anything can happen.

-If it rains (slight chance of showers), then the run game becomes more important, and Morris should help us have an advantage against a weaker ATL run D.
-If Julio Jones isn't 100% then their offense slows down

That being said, I don't think we'll get that lucky. Could we pull it off? Sure. Will we? Probably not. They are definitely a more complete team at this moment, so barring a bunch of lucky breaks in our direction (weather, Jones sitting) we probably get beat.

Roddy white, Julio jones, and tony Gonzales will all get over 100 yards and at least 1 TD. The book is it on our D and we are susceptible to e big play and 2 of owe three guys are big play recovers and they're is money in the redzone.

Do not get me wrong I think we can hang with them but if we do not get some kind of points on every drive this game will get out of hand quick we will not get many stops against this offense. I hope we win and will root as hard as I always do but the only way we win this is in a shoot out and possibly a late field goal which I have no confidence even our revamped offense can do and in no way can Billy Cundiff can shoulder any type of pressure.

Go skins but this is gonna be a rough match up and rough game.

The falcons boards are obsessed with how they are going to stop RGIII after Cam Netwon lit them up. They are completely ignoring the existence of Morris.

All it will take is RGIII scaring them a couple times with a good run or beating them on a deep route and Morris will have a huge day.

The question is are we going to abandon the run game if we get down early in the game? Also, Jones wasn't 100% last week and the Falcons still did pretty well on offense.

This one could easly go either way with which ever team making the least mistakes. I'm not a big stats guy because I think that games are not decided by which team has the better rankings. All I have read is that our defensive is ranked number 26 or lower and that is going to be our downfall. So did a little research and I found out that Atlanta's defensive isn't performing that much better then ours. There giving up big number on the ground game and that plays into one of our strengths of pounding the ball and keeping there offense off the field. Atlanta's offense is running on all cylinders and has no problem in scoring but this is were I think is going to be were we can take advantage of them. They rank almost last in the league in running the ball even though they have a respectable backfield which makes there offense one dimensional much like the packers which becomes easier to defend not that I'm saying we are going to stop them but I'm just saying LOL. So yeah I have a feeling that we WILL win.....HTTR

I think it's funny that people continue to link RG3 and Cam Newton together. RG3 is a better quarterback because of his throwing abilities. I have some Panther fan friends, and they would trade Cam for RG3 in a heart beat.

I agree about Morris. A big game from him and RG3, and Al Mo will start to get some love from the media.

Can't wait for the game on Sunday. The good part about having a tough schedule is that every week we will be playing a game that will get Redskins Nation pumped.

Oh, I know, it's a slim chance, I was just saying that's what would have to happen for us to stay in it. If we end up in a shootout, we will almost certainly lose. The Falcons have a really good pass D, even with the loss of Grimes. We need them to be slow on offense, allowing us to run a lot and take advantage of their average run D.

Unfortunately, our defense probably isn't going to be the force to slow them down, it requires maybe a lucky turn in the weather and Jones not being able to catch effectively. My prediction was 41-27 Falcons. If Jones isn't playing well, we can probably peel a TD away from them, but we'll still lose. If it also rains and it becomes a ground battle in the mud, I'd say we pull into just about even. But that's a lot of lucky breaks, and a battle in the mud could cause injuries to our guys as much as it could help us win.
