I'm not going to go so far as to say we'll definitely win, but I wouldn't be so quick to write off the Redskins here. Yes, Atlanta has a great passing game. Yes, Redskins have been getting lit up through the air. But have you seen what teams have been doing against the Falcons run defense? They're 29th in the league, giving up 146.3 yards per game. To beat them, a team needs to dominate time of possession with a grind it out running game.

Redskins are #1 rushing at 175.5 Yards/Game. We just thrashed the #1 rush defense in the league for 160 yards, more than they gave up the first 3 games combined... We have a chance.

I agree with this post. I think the Skins odds are 50/50, going in to the game.

I came across a Falcons MB and some are worried this game isn't a gimmie. One fan is even more worried about Morris than RG3.

The Skins need to approach this game against the Falcons like they did against the Saints. Try to control the time of possession utilizing a good mix of running and passing plays and keeping the Falcons high powered passing game on the sidelines. I'm not overly concerned with their running game, we've been pretty solid there. Matt Ryan, Roddy White, Julio Jones, and Tony Gonzalez are who we have to contain, or at least slow down, to have a good chance at the win. Damn for sure we're due a home victory.

I don't recall anyone on here proclaiming victory over the Falcons like that thread suggests. Of course we have a chance to win because that's the nature of the NFL aka Any given Sunday. The Falcons definitely out match us in so many categories and of course our secondary is staring down a long afternoon but if I didn't believe that we could win this game somehow then I wouldn't bother watching.

You have to realize that about 30% of the board are irrational and sensitive and take anything that doesn't proclaim the Falcons as the clear cut SuperBowl favorite disrespectful. Even true fans that just remain realistic get "hammered" over there by a vocal minority.

I'd rather RG3 driving down the field for a game winning touchdown. I don't think my nerves could take relying on Cundiff again. I couldn't stand it even after the copious amounts of alcohol I consumed.

It might be a little sloppy game for the dome team. Advantage Skins because it is going to be 56 degree weather and 70% chance of rain on Sunday.
I think the running game is going to be more important than a shootout.

Even though they are a dome team, rain favors the offensive player which makes it even harder for our secondary to stick with them on double moves and cuts. Of course the inverse is true for their secondary as well but I dont see that being as big a factor.

If its raining bad and really sloppy double moves won't matter because both Rowdy White and Julio Jones have had drop problems in their career. The rain will make it that much harder for them to catch not to mention making it hard for Ryan to throw.

It is going to be 52 degree and the rain will start before 1pm so the ground will be a little wet too. I think the element is going to be our 12 man on Sunday.
