Didn't read through all of this, so apologies if it's already been said- but all I hear about in Raleigh is Steve Smith, and how he's one of the best WRs in football (or at least was), and potential HOFer. I looked at their stats- he has about 900 more yards than Santana (250 of those coming this year), 2 more touchdowns, and about 50 more receptions in the same career span, but more games played. And if you consider that until last year, the best QB he had throwing him the ball was Delhomme, I'd say they had nearly identical careers. Yet Steve Smith is consistently given praise, and you rarely hear anything about Moss, despite playing in a bigger market.
Can anyone make any sense of this?
