Where is Tana's legacy when he retires? Up their with R. Sanders? Higher than Lavar?

Sanana Redskin career to date 43 TD's for approx 7000 yards on some crappy teams
Sanders Redskin career 36 TD's for approx 5800 yard.. (one season he had 11 TD's)

I think Tana ranks pretty darn high...

Tana is actually one of the best receivers in the last decade. To be sure, there are several who have come into the league or were contemporaries that were better but not a whole lot. Or to put it another way, if Tana played with Brady or Brees, he'd have a hell of a lot more yards, TDs, receptions and would be traipsing his way to the HoF.

You will give the Redskins an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time you will help them accomplish wonders.

Wow ...let's up the anty ... is he up there with Clark? How about Byner? Of course I'm not talking just stats, but legacy. How he will be endeared by skins fans once he's gone.

One more TD and he will have the most TDs he's had in a season since 2005. Pretty impressive.

Clark has better Redskin stats, 58 TD's approx 8700 yards. He also played on MUCH better teams, with many other weapons (Riggins, Monk. Sanders) so teams could not key on him. I think Tana makes the conversation as one of the best WR we have had and certainly the most reliable that we have had since our last Super Bowl.

Look at the list of QB's that have been throwing him those 43 TD's...not terribly impressive. The good news is he is within 1 TD of career highs with Griffin throwing him the ball through 10 games. He is not terribly expensive and at this point in his career if he can generate 10+ TD's (which he should) bring him back. I think he comes back barring injury and will ultimately retire a Resdkin and be considered on of our best.

Santana doesn't rank up there with Gary Clark. However, he is an all-time Redskins great. He will be in the Ring of Fame no doubt.

The guy just produces. Has he dropped some passes? Sure. But his "wow" moments certainly out number those. See Sunday's game. The guy continues to make plays. I hope we find a way to keep him around for another year. I love me some Tana.

smh. That's this year. He's a $6 million cap hit in 2013. That's what my post was about. Restructure or go, we need the money to address defense.

    4.15 mill in '13.

    Rotoworld:

    "7/29/2011: Signed a three-year, $15 million contract. The deal contains $6 million guaranteed, including a $5 million signing bonus. 2012: $2.65 million, 2013: $4.15 million, 2014: Free Agent"

But I agree, could still use a restructure.

The Hogs and a couple other sites have him at $6 million. Regardless, he does have to restructure if he wants to stay here. We're in the middle of a youth movement missing draft picks and have another year of this cap penalty. I don't hate Moss at all, this is strictly business.

6.15 million would be correct. The bonus gets spread out over the life of the contract 6 mil/3 years = 2 mill plus annual salary at 4.15 mil in 2013=6.15

That play was beautiful. Mad props to Moss for coming through in the clutch not only on that play, but numerous 3rd down catches as well. Keep this dude on the field until he can no longer play football.
