Thanks man. I'm not sure others would agree, lol, and there's probably more flattery there than I deserve; but it's greatly appreciated.

FWIW, (from a faceless name on a message board ), I always enjoy reading your thoughtful insight too Boston. You seem to pick your moments when to post, but when you do, far from being missed by their infrequency, your posts are a great addition by that laconic style.

Home is Washington-just ask the Nats and Caps!
DC couldn't support the Senators the 2nd time around and went 33 years without a team.

Caps and Bullets spent 30 years in Landover. What's your point?

    Sad really.
Well, I was wide open, but Kirk didn't see me at first, but when he finally saw me, he over threw it and....you know what happened next. Interception. I tried, but it's hard to catch a ball from section 448.

If ya wanna sit down and watch a game feel free to donut from the comfort of your own sofa. When I'm at the game I represent the 13th man loud and proud. Sorry if it takes away from your game day experience but I didn't pay good money to do what I can do from my sofa. Reminds me of going to an IRL race after being to dozens of NASCAR races. Different kind of crowd. Wine and cheese type crowd.
Yeah, but you still should be courteous to those behind you. They may be young or old, and it's not a given that they need to stand because you are blockng their view. Be respectful...just as easy to scream and yell from the seat. There are types like you in front of my seats, and I have ZERO problem asking you to sit down or asking the stadium ushers to ask the same of you. I pay damm good money for my seats too, and when my son can't see because someone stands directly in front of him, I'll tell that person to park his butt in the seat!

Wow, a fan thread about us fans at the games.

I confess I didn't read every post but my take as a STH is it's a little bit of a downer when we're half way through the first quarter and a big number of fans are still in the parking lots.

I get that a big part of the game day experience is the tailgate but it would be great if the 12th Man and Redskins Nation is ready to do our part and be loud and proud at the kickoff to show our Skins we're behind them ready to blast our opponents out of here with a loss.

    Just sayin...

Sorry, finishing off those last beers from the 24 pack is more important. Then, the next most important thing a fan does is take a big piss in the porta-john, so they can go in the stadium and buy 5 more $9 beers. Get your damn priorities straight. Where do you think you are, a football game? This is a frat party dude. The more beer you drink the more manly you are. Sit on your seat at kickoff with copious amounts of beer just sitting there waiting to be drank? Who do you think you are leesburg? /sarcasm.

FWIW. I grew up with an alocholic father, so I detest anyone who drinks beer and can't hold their liquor. I like a beer here and there myself, but watching people in the stands not only shell out that kind of money, but to pour it down their gullets like a water fountain nauseates me.

Please don't blame Miami's Sun Life Stadium or Cleveland Browns Stadium for an alarming home-field disadvantage. Clearly, it has more to do with the teams they've been putting out on the field in recent years. Only seven NFL teams have losing records at home over the past decade. With that in mind, here are a few of the easier places to play or, put another way, the teams that consistently play the worst at home:
    Miami Dolphins
    Dolphins

All you need to know: Over the past decade, the Dolphins have scored a net plus-11 points more at home than on the road. That's easily the league's worst differential.
    Washington Redskins
    Redskins

They have the league's third-largest stadium (after the Giants/Jets and Cowboys), but it doesn't translate into a home-field advantage. Washington has a .478 home winning percentage over the past 20 years, the fourth-worst mark.
    St. Louis Rams
    Rams

Only four NFL teams have losing records at home going back 30 years. Despite their terrific run from 1999-2001, the Rams (.498) are one of them.
    Oakland Raiders
    Raiders

The Raiders' "Black Hole" at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum is just another myth to spring from the fertile imagination of the late owner Al Davis. Going back 20 years, Oakland has the league's third-worst home winning percentage (.475). Over the last decade, they're at a miserable .390, second only to &
    Cleveland Browns
    Browns

No matter how you slice it -- going back one decade (.378), two decades (.391) or three (.453) -- the Browns have the NFL's worst home record.

I blame the coach for the condition of his players and seems to me our team gets tired instead of getting excited about winning in 4th quarter.

lol... I wouldn't waste my time with this guy pj... he's never been or he would know you can see the monument from FedEx... and you can't see Baltimore... it's about 5 miles from RFK... rest on that.

I'll never understand, unless your delayed in terrible traffic, someone not being able to make it in for kick-off. Nor do I understand fans that leave early, particularly in close games, just to beat the crowds and traffic.

This baffles me even more with each passing year and the continual increase in ticket prices. One would think at those prices, folk would want to get their money's worth. Instead, the social side and wringing every last ounce out of pre-game partying seems to take precedence to many over the actual game they've paid to see.

    Hail.

We'll see if this game makes any difference this weekend. Kickoff is after 4pm.

But honestly, I just think it's the "white collar" mentality of the city... the Nats game yesterday (first playoff game for Baseball in Washington, DC in almost 80 years) was a complete sellout... yet, at first pitch... 60% of the Stadium was full and people were still trickling in.

People need to get over themselves and get there early. Plain and simple. I've done well enough in my line of work where people wait on me for meetings, etc... but I'm always early to the games.

    Get there early.

Can't echo this enough to anyone lucky enough to be in attendance Sunday.

Get there early, and keep up the noise from last week when the Vikings are on O. It sounded much better on the feed, and seemed to really disrupt Ryan and co, particularly first half.

We might not have the team yet to consistently challenge. But we sure as Hell can play our part in making FedEx a hostile place opposing teams hate visiting.

    Hail.

This is where this conversation would go... so I'm just going to say "hey, get there early." If you don't want to, don't.
