Rex Ryan looks well on his way to being the Raheem Morris of this year, with Atlanta players saying that jets players just sort of gave up, similar to how Tampa just gave up a few weeks into the year.

And it sort of makes sense. Holmes is on IR, Greene is terrible, Keller hasn't done much when healthy but has been injured recently anyway, and they lost Revis. Honestly, their team is in complete disarray. If they end up 4-12 or something, Ryan might be cut loose.

Whether he'd choose to become a DC somewhere though, I'm not sure. We can hope though.

    Falcons fan here:

I live in the area and I'll be there Sunday. I think you guys are really feeling the effects of not having Orakpo and having to make due in the secondary with Meriweather still being out. I think D. Hall is the most overrated corner in the league (yes, it's personal) but he can make plays from time to time. On the other side of the ball though I expect RG3 and that offense to give our improved D some issues. We struggle getting after the passer and it's even tougher when a guy can extend plays with his legs and run for it or make a pass downfield. I don't expect an all out shootout but I do think that you guys will put up points on us. I just think you guys are hurting a little more on the defensive side of the ball than we are and I think that's the difference (I hope anyway).

The only people that think DHall is overrated are people that think he's actually meaningfully rated lol. I think 99.9% of Skins fans will tell you he's a very average corner.

LOL. I must have been talking to the wrong ones then. I remember when Rogers left in FA and some Skins fans I know personally ripping him and saying he needed to be more of a "team" guy like Hall and that Hall was better anyway. I looked at them like they were crazy and just shook my head.

Hall is more of a team guy than Rogers, but that doesn't really speak to their skill levels. Rogers just didn't want to be here, and the difference in his ball hawk stats here and in San Fran show he just wasn't ever going to perform to his potential here. Hall has a lower ceiling, but we know we're at least getting something close to his best week in week out here. It's just unfortunate that his ceiling isn't all that high.

I'm hoping we can pull this one out...but I'm not sure...but I'm a homer so...

    Redskins 44
    Falcons 41

    Realistically speaking
    Redskins 28
    Falcons 35

I hope we don't get blown out...

Well, I guess things have changed since Hall left Atlanta. I'll admit I was unfamiliar with the Rogers drama in Washington but while Hall was in Atlanta he was all about his self and padding his stats. I guess he's grown up.

It also doesn't help that the guys behind him absolutely suck.

I mean, he's not London Fletcher, but he's not a bad guy either. Maybe he has matured. All I know is, Rogers needed eye surgery and basically refused to get it while here. He wanted a big contract, and we pretty much told him no because he wasn't playing to the level of it (similar to how we let the oft-injured Landry go, he wanted the big deal, and just didn't deserve it). Then he decides to bail, gets the surgery, goes to San Fran on a 1 year prove it deal, and starts playing well.

Some games go the way everybody sees them, others end up wonky. I'm saying this one is wonky.

    Redskins - 27
    Falcons - 24

Personally one of the things on my Redskins 2013 wishlist is Rex Ryan getting fired and NY and coming here as our D-Coordinator.
So our defense steps up and still gives up 38 points? Yikes... lol

I see it being a shootout I just don't know if we can hang with their offense. I hate it but I have no faith in the secondary right now. Please prove me wrong.

Looking through the stats, 3rd down efficiency looks critical to me..Falcons at almost 50% on the season, we are roughly half of that.

Run the ball well, convert well on 3rd's to win the TOP battle, plus make a couple of big stops on 3rd for them.

    Skins win 30 - 27

They stepped it up vs the Saints and gave up a bunch of points. A team like the Falcons you just gotta assume they are gonn get theirs unless they shoot themselves in the foot so I predict 41-38 while hopin for something like 35-21 Skins.
