That's specifically why I hate politics. EVERY politician is more interested in their own bank account (which means keeping the rich donors happy) than in fixing things for everyone else, and it showed last night. I met a guy who ran for a local "mayor" spot here in St Louis. He basically ran on the platform that he wouldn't make any promises to businesses and things like that and would do what he thought was right instead of what people were trying to get him to promise. That won him the first election, but when the second one came up, he'd actually been true to his promise, and all those businesses went to his challenger to donate so the guy had $0 for his campaign and failed miserably.

What has Obama done since March besides campaign?

Nuthin' I heard that he hasn't even been at the White House sine early April, and that he hasn't met with the Joint Chiefs and that he's ignoring his National Security briefings. Absentee landlord for sure.

I don't think politics is about money...more about power.

Looks like a win for the American people, who get just what they want.
Honestly, by listening to the post-debate chatter. I really do believe that most Americans are now so ****ing stupid as to believe this hogwash over who "won" based on how they APPEARED.

a hyuh! Weyull, on the gol'dang TEE VEE they done said that Romney done looked more like he won.
    So's I guess that'sa what happened!

    Huh?
Oh, naw, i didn't unnerstand a dang thing anybody was sayin'. I was just looin' at which one looks like he should git mah vote.

Oh, hang on! Lemme switch the channel here,, looks like Pig Wars is a'startin'!

Romney impressed me last night. I expected Obama to do much better but he was really off.

I am voting for Romney, only as an anti-Obama vote but last night made me feel a bit of confidence in him. He looked sharp and came off as much more likable and not as robotic. People looking for substance? Well, how much detail can you go into in just a few minutes each question?

I guess it really comes down to the undecideds in Oh, VA, PA and CO and if he did enough to sway them.

    Yes, I'd greatly appreciate that.

Do you think it's that? Or that we're a nation scared to vote how we really feel/believe? I truly believe that a majority of Americans is unhappy with how Obama's last 4 years has gone but they don't want Romney in office, so they'll vote for lesser of two "evils".

And I think a large group of Americans don't like Romney and his ideas, yet they sure as heck don't want Obama in office, so they'll vote for the lesser of two "evils".

Actual differences between the two is probably minimal, but through PR, media and talking points, it's felt that they are worlds apart.

So the more left-leaning among us continue to think that anyone who disagrees with them is a spoonfed moron? That's helpful. Really. It is.

Can we stop referring to the elected board IPAB as a death panel, and stop suggesting they will have any say in what services or care an individual will get? This is so unfair and ignorant.

Here's a great article on the public's interest in lies over facts, based on bias and media portrayal.
