You want more jobs...tell companies to hire more and give fewer golden parachutes.

He basically wants us to think that people never stopped looking during the Bush administration but are now doing so with Obama as president.
That's been the mantra for at least the last four years.
"Hey look at Bush's U3 numbers compared to Obama's U6 numbers!! See how bad Obama is!?!?"

Better to move forward slowly than backwards.

Looking at the numbers there are things in it for both sides. Romney will obviously hit him on the % like he has been and Obama will counter with better than expected jobs.

This is going to have little to no impact on the race.

Other than show that last month's numbers aren't as bogus as the Right claimed. I think it's hilarious that the Right demands that Obama create jobs at a faster rate than Bush lost them. Rmoney has a commercial running out here hat says Obama lost so many jobs, but blatantly refuses to acknowledge that the job losses would have continued regardless of whoever was elected in the previous electon. I hate lies.

These are weak Republican talking points. It is great news for the US economy that jobs are being add (more than expect), housing starts are up, consumer confidence it up.

Regardless of political talking points, yes it's good we're adding jobs but....the jobs being added are doing squat for a real recovery. Hence, incomes continue to fall

Long-Term unemployment also rose in Oct. to 40.6%

Perhaps consumer confidence is up because we've lowered our expectations

    1) Not Right. LOL!! Not sure how you could have came to that conclusion from my post. There was absolutely nothing politically motivated in my post.
    2) Who's complaining?
Would I like to see the economy doing better? YES, of course! But who doesn't??

Doesn't it make sense that a less saturated job market would send average incomes of those with jobs down? Considering the people who are finding jobs will be paid less since there's a bigger pool of applicants. I don't know if that necessarily sounds like a bad thing for the short term.

Gotta love Obama apologists - their motto should be: Next to Nothing is Still Something!

or We Would be Happy with Less than nothing! Just keep smiling Barack!

If you are content with the slow to no progress, great, be happy with a few more years with the do-nothing in office.

I am in sales and this "leader" we have has created no economic conditions where my customers are comfortable with spending much at all. It's killing my livelihood and I will be lucky to last another six months to a year.

I dont love Romney but he has GOT to be better than the current incompetent.

What kind of progress do you think would have been made with a competent president?

You don't even realize that your statement is an absolute regarding an extremely difficult and dynamic situation which all too often defies absolutes.
Just how many people is Romney going to hire as POTUS? Oh, he'll give tax breaks to encourage hiring....tell me....how has hat worked? After four years this whole thing has become mind numbingly predictable.

I love people that clearly haven't study history at all. If so, people would have a better understanding of what kind of recovery was expected. Regardless of whom is President, unemployment is forecast to drop to 5.3% or so in the next four years. If that's slow and steady, I'll take it.

Gotta love people who don't support Romney.

Good news for the economy just absolutely HAS to be countered by insulting things that nobody has said.

Total Jobs when W took office (Feb, 2001): 132,529,000
When he left office (Jan, 2009): 133,561,000
    Net change: 1,032,000
    That's 95 months = 10,863 jobs/month

Total Jobs when Obama took office (Feb, 2009): 132,837,000
Most recent numbers (Oct 2012): 133,755,000
    Net change: 918,000
    That's 45 months = 20,400 jobs/month

Employment has gone up twice as fast, under Obama, as it did under W.

But Obama's economy is "Less than nothing". "Slow to no progress".
