I would go with three of the earlier choices: Dark Side of the Moon, Abbey Road and Nevermind.
Thriller and some of the others are very important or popular albums, but the covers standing alone are not pure iconic rock history the way these three images are.
My other two would be:
This album cover encapsulated the meaning of punk in everyones mind (even though it was not much of an album) The cover of the first Ramones album would be close too.

You youngsters have no idea how controversial and famous this cover was back in the day.

2. Stevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life. (I used to be litteraly afraid of this album as a little kid)
