It's got to be Smith too. Every kicker he has worked with has either regressed under him or played better once they latched onto another team. Smith's impact on kickers is consistantly bad.

I do not classify myself as an expert in football, I agree smith, cundiff need to go, but i would also include Haslett with them also. But I am starting to think that they need a new holder also. Not that they would have won the game if he made that field goal, but when they showed the replay of that kick the ball sure looked like it was leaning to the right. Which side of the goal post did it miss on? Like I said before I am no expert.

That's actually interesting. I didn't catch that, but if that's true esp after missing four the other week, then it's one more reason I blame Smith too.

Hell, I'd rather go for it on 4th down than to even bother with this waste of a FG kicker. When they set the ball on the right side hash marks (facing the goal post)... start cringing. All his problems start there. Hey, Danny... how about having him practice kicking all week from that position? No, cause your an idiot and a waste of a ST's coach. Bring in Gano, or Rackers, or the kid Tampa let go... I don't care... just let go of CundIFf and bring in one of them.This is getting more cartoonish than the replacement refs.

Just makes you wonder when these kickers go to a different team and do well. Possibly try Cousins as holder? I would like to start over and get Gano and Rackers competing again. If they will come back?

Did you see how the complexion of the game changed after that miss! More, Cundiff is now batting about .500 with two misses that were practically extra points. That's not professional quality. That's not even college quality.

Because Cundiff is so bad, I was actually hoping that if the Falcons scored on their game winning drive, it would be a TD. If they kicked a FG, the Skins would have been playing for a FG which we know he would have missed. This guy has got to go.

I firmly believe that Danny Smith should be fired.. BUT..
I also firmly believe that had they kept Gano, we would not be having any special teams problems.
Since the two blocks, no one has gotten close to a punt, (no one seems to have rushed one, either.)
if not for cutting gano, I believe I would likely be happy with danny's special teams.
But it's another case of mucking around with things that don't need mucking with. sticking a fork in a socket to see what happens.
Now, I will say that I've heard that shanahan "couldn't stand the sight" of Gano.. s it may not all be Smith.
BUT... here we are again.
BTW< this week on the Bang Cartoon Radio Hour we have some audio of a former Redskin Punter (Groom) talking about Smith on the radio in Columbus. This'll be fun.
