One key i think was huge is absolutely no pass rush. 52 att maybe 2 or 3 hits on Ryan at most..You cant win like that. I counted a bunch of times he had 4 to 6 seconds to throw the ball.

Cursed, hahahaaa. Get over it will you. The Falcons were 10-6 last year. That is a good football team we hung with. NO curse, just reality, The Falcons are better than the Redkins at this point and the team gave them everything they had.

Very, VERY winnable game. Somehow we managed to blow this one. Cundiff's miss changed momentum. I wish RG3 could step out of bounds on a busted play for no gain. I'm going to agree with OP, this team is cursed.

Grossman would be the better option. but im ok with cousins being in there. he needs time to learn and grow. if we want to get some value out of him at some point, it cant hurt to have him play.

No we did roll over - the defense looked like i could have run a 100 yards in a quarter on it once RGIII had gone and Cousins did what he did in collage - bad play after bad play once the game was on the line . Should not be number 2 on the depth chart - with Rex in there then we had a chance .

Um, you can't put this one on the defense.

They were on the field forever because the offense was piss poor. The *ONE* game that you can't put on the defense this season.

Our D's best only isn't good enough when they've not got an offense to give them a hand!!! If the time of possession wasn't so heavily weighted to the Falcons, the D would have been in a much better condition/place going into the 4th quarter.

This is entirely on the offense - the playcalling and RGIII's plain stupid decision not to throw it away.

Griffin let the team down by taking that hit when we were going to get 3 points anyway. Shanahan even said he explained to Griffin he has a responsibility to the team not to take those hits. But it is the NFL and you will take hits, but dang.

Agreed. Unfortunately (and fortunately), Griffin thinks he can do anything (and, so far, he has). I'm sure this will have been a good lesson for him that no matter how much he believes (and has shown!) that he can take a hit, the odds are not in your favor. Sooner or later, you're going to get hurt. I'm OK with him playing a little reckless, but he has to save it for the most critical junctures in a game and he has to limit himself. Where he took the hit, he was a few yards behind the line of scrimmage. There was no point to his bravery. Just throw it away, kick the FG, and come back for the next drive.

I don't know how they didn't catch the locking on/staring down receivers on tape and know it would get exposed. He did it most of preseason only he got away with it.

We gave them a go. We played one of the best NFL teams to the very end, even with a backup rookie in their. Sucks to lose, but we didn't roll over. Our defense just wore out in the end.
