Morris had 18 touches. Unacceptable. They abandoned the run.

a side bar to RG3 getting hurt, If Cousins went down and Rex inactive, who was the #3 if needed?
Who is this R3G you speak of?
You know I must admit, you may very well be right. Yet somehow, teams still win. Think Ben in Pitt winning the bowl.
Are we built to run or pass block, first? I think we draft guys on run blocking ability first. If we are built to run block, bypassing great overall OL in the draft to reach on a G with run blocking mobility, is that best when it comes to protecting III? We all know a great run game is a QB's best friend. But its a passing league. Kyle is a passing guy. There are times all teams must pass. So its not a perfect science, and always will be subject to debate - how best to "protect" a QB.
I think every team has holes, and fixating on them over and over (our DB's suck!!!1!) rings hollow. I myself am guilty of it

RG3 imo strung that play out too long...wasn't decisive early enough to run or throw...when the throw was no longer there, get a couple yards go out of bounds, don't cut back up field and get whacked. I love his heart but you gotta get out of bounds there. I know it's in the moment, easy for me to say sitting on my couch.
Haslett has been a coach in this league for a long, long time. I don't think he's a great defensive coordinator because I don't think he adjusts well on the fly when it's clear that a plan isn't working, but I think we could do worse. Our defense held up their end of the bargain yesterday, IMO. But, I've been very critical of Haslett when I think he's deserved it.
He's also only had a defense that has ranked in the top 10 twice in 15 years as a d-coordinator or head coach, 3-4, 4-3 or otherwise.
I guess he's a great case study for how you can continuously fail and still keep a job, but I'd take that as proof that it doesn't really matter how long you coach.
Yes it does sound crazy but they have done a good job, all but those 2 blind sides. RG is a tough kid.
Way too conservative considering what he has to display now. This was the type of game the Redskins could have taken over and won, but the truth is we are still a good year or 2 away from being that good and complete team. Another truth is we may never become that good team that takes over games like this as long as we have an OC that is so damn conservative.
Didn't we end up missing that field goal too?
Well, can't say I didn't see this coming... HERE
I understand that he wants to win and help the team but his decision to NOT run out of bounds was a poor one. He needs to learn to slide and/or run out of bounds instead of taking the hit.

...Again, for the people who keep complaining that Kyle is too conservative, for the last two years all anyone has done is complained about how he is too aggressive and the whole fanbase went into meltdown mode about how many hits Robert was taking running the option and we complained he got too cute at times...which one is it? Because it sure as hell can't be both.
