Congrads on the win. Falcons are the class of the NFC South but let's see how they fair in the post season. Your winning won't mean a thing if you don't win the playoffs.

Good game ATL fan. I hope you stick around the forum this season.
Not that young. Outside of our QB, HB, LT, and one of our OLBs and ILBs, everyone else on the team is in the prime of their careers or past. That's 5 out of 22 regular starters, and they're good, they're not holding us back.
Given that, and given the fact everyone else is in their prime, shouldn't this team be winning games?
Most of the team just isn't that good. It's been too often that we lose a game mostly because we couldn't match up in key areas.
Eight straight home losses is a new low for this franchise no matter how you slice it. Same for Shanahan's abysmal record here so far.
Our franchise had the good fortune to draft a kid who could be the best player in the league in a few years. But if we're to start winning games, the FO has got to stop ****ing up. Too many mistakes with the coaching hires, mistakes with the draft, mistakes making dumb trades, mistakes on the offensive line, mistakes in the defensive front, mistakes in the secondary.
I'm not advocating for an FO change. But we've got to get better assistants and draft better. The offseasons from here out can't be mediocre any more. It's time to get RGIII better protection, more and better weapons, and a defense.

We just have to take care of our own division and we'll be on the way. The NFC East is still anyone's game, it would be awesome to not be 4th in our division like it has been for forever.

It still annoys me a little bit that we get the stink of finishing fourth on a technicality for 2010 despite the fact the Cowboys drafted ahead of us.

Appreciate the positive stuff, ATLFalconsfan, but you are wasting your time here. We got a bunch of damn babies on this board right now that can't see the forest for the trees, and can't see our future is bright as a lot of these young players continue to mature.
Thanks for the post and congrats.![]()
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!
I am feeling good about our prospects for the future. If we could ever find a reliable kicker I would feel even better, its been an ongoing problem.
It was a good game, and I give a lot of credit to Gonzalez, Ryan, and the ATL offensive line especially. But I have to say, I think we would have won had RG3 been able to finish the game.
The press asked a Redskins executive about the salary cap penalty and the executive responded, "Ask John Mara." So the press asked Mara and he said, “What they did was in violation of the spirit of the salary cap. "
Oh I see now, even though there was no actual salary cap in 2010 according to the CBA, the "spirit" of the salary cap still existed. Thanks for clearing that up Mara.
I feel like we have written this thread after every loss in the past 5+ years if not more
We fired Cerrato some time ago. The only mistake I've seen is the McNabb trade, and to toot my own horn I called that before it happened. Jamaal Brown, to me, was a risk worth taking. Even if you want to consider those two trades as failures, there hasn't been much else. I know, we haven't addressed the secondary, but no team can address every problem in a couple offseasons.
First year was a clean out, second year was building from the ground up, and now we have a franchise QB to continue our rebuild with. I think people here forget just how bad this team was before Shanahan got here.
Eli Manning will be 31 years old when the 2012 season starts.Michael Vick will be 32 years old when the 2012 season starts.Tony Romo will be 32 years old when the 2012 season starts.ROBERT GRIFFIN III will be 22 years old when the 2012 season starts.
Our future is definitely bright. Anyone who says otherwise is just being overly negative. Some of the fans in this board are just ridiculous.
Our offense is on the verge of great things people. With RGIII at the helm the sky is the limit. He is able to hide deficiencies along our oline. Which isn't as bad as most on here would have you believe. A new RT next year would go a long way. Our receivers are better than average and will only get better with RGIII. Morris is a franchise back in my opinion.
Defensive line and linebackers are set. (Side note* Anyone saying trade Orakpo has lost all common sense. Just look how abysmal our pass rush is without him. And don't try to kid yourself that he wouldn't make a difference. He opens things up for everybody else. No question.) Our secondary needs help. Especially safety. Our corners have played better each week with the Atlanta game being their best by far. The lack of safety help is a killer running a cover 2. Merriweather needs to get healthy and either draft or sign a FA Free Safety next year.
All in all this team has surprised me this year. I'm extremely happy about our future. It is truly a blessing to have and be able to watch, a guy like RGIII in the B&G every Sunday hopefully for many many years. To the chicken littles CALM THE **** DOWN. STOP THE NEGATIVITY!
Good stuff here's my take.
1. We all gotta remember non of them are or were slated to be starters.
2. True but at the same time I think at this point Riley should be having a bigger impact on games.
3. Polumbus is clearly overmatched in the pass game regardless of who lines up against him. But I really don't think Brown was that much better.
4. Enough said. You're 1000% correct.
Through the heartache and pain. Here I remain, A Skinz fan for life....
