This is where I'm at, after years knowing we're gonna get our bitts handed to us, this season has been awesome, even at 2-3 I know that those 3 have all been close, we're finally putting offensive touchdowns on the board and the plays go more than 5 yards at a time. Our defense is our weakness though.
Overall I'm excited about our future, we at the very least have crossed on area off our needs list.
Now, send Cundiff packing and firm up our D and I'll be happy.

Our team has always been in the game for the past few years. We just have a defense that cant make stops when we need to or a QB that can win games for us. We have 1/2 out of those things. Even when our d was in the top 10, it wasn't a good defense. It would choke and give up scores when they needed to make a hold

But our defense did stop the Falcons even after Cousins' first interception. Sure they gave up the lead at the end but at that point they had been on the field close to 80 plays. For the first time this season it was our offense that didn't carry their weight.

I was in a terrible mood yesterday when the game ended but now that I'm feeling more level headed I'm excited for the future. We hung in there against a now 5-0 team despite losing our best player. The future is bright.

Its not hard to stop the other team when you know they're going to keep it on the ground to burn clock and make you use timeouts.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope the Falcons can make noise in the post season this time and not run into any buzzsaw hot teams during the final stretch. Personally, I'm incredibly excited for the future of the Redskins. The only frustrating part is we never have all the pieces working at the same time. We either have a good defense and a terrible offense or a decent offense and a terrible defense. The only consistency that we have is ****ty special teams under Danny Smith.

The hit on RGIII was clean and the Falcons don't hit after the whistle and play tough football. The running game was held in check but Gonzales had an amazing day as did Ryan. I was impressed that our defense didn't allow any 50 yard bombs for touchdowns.

future is bright, turning a corner, just not there yet. We are competitive and in games. Just have some things to work out still to get to that next level. As frustrating as it was to lose regardless of the expectations, strength of opponent, etc. The Falcons are a really good football team. I feel more optimistic than I have in years.

I lurked on the Falcons board after the loss and it seems that they have knowledgeable and respectable fans. Even though their team won, they still had good things to say about RG3 including hoping that he has a speedy recovery and I read a lot of complimentary posts about Morris. Most opposing teams fan would have been complaining about how they couldn't put away a bottom feeder team and all that other bull, but those fans seem a lot different.

Thanks, dude. I've lived here for 23 years, been a Redskins fan my whole life. I've gotten my fair share of giggles about it, even about my team gear, but I've weathered it all, through the Falcons' good years with Vick, etc. But everyone is now wishing us the best, and I didn't have one single argument with anyone about the game all last week, and I doubt I will this week. So far, everyone is texting me wishing the best for RGIII and saying it was a great game that kept them edgy, knowing we have talent on both sides of the ball.

i appreciate the post.. while i like many knew going in we didnt have a huge chance at winning this game but was still yelling and screaming at the tv lol. i apprecite your thoughts... i disgree with a couple, but its nice to have a non biased opinion as to what someone else thought.

im gonna go on a limb here and say more frustration is not necessarily losing to the falcons, but playing to the ability of the teams we play against and not bringing our A game against lesser teams.

ive been on this message board for like 4 years and dont post too much because there are a lot of great posters here who have already said what needs to be said and doesnt need my 2cents. lol if i see a thread not started by a well known member such as NLC, DC9, Boss, C4, MSU Skins, etc... you all know who im talkin about. i hardly pay it any attention. anyways enough talking about issues that dont pertain to the thread and heres to a W next week
