I'm cool with Brown or Kai Forbath.
I'm cool with Brown or Kai Forbath.
Name a kicker. With or without nfl experience. I still can't believe he had the balls to make the comment that we would've lost even if he made that 30 heard chip shot.... Alll of the sudden it didn't matter that he missed it? Only a complete loser would make a comment like that. Cut his ass immediately.
Brown would be OK with me if he's hired, but I'm agreeing with most everyone in this thread for Forbath. Franchise kicker to go along with the franchise QB.
________
rookie kicker. youth infusion. lets stick with it. go young guy. things couldn't be any worse at the kicking position, lets roll the dice
Two QB's, one Burrito. Robert 'the cyborg' Griffin III vs. Kirk Cousins
Considering the moron who will make the decision it really makes no difference. Just bring in 4-5 random scrubs and roll some dice, then provide him with the worst protection, holder, and snapper in the league.
Oh and don't forget to continue to cringe on every punt or field goal attempt.

I can and WILL play Redskins games too in the future...
Time to bring back a few familiar faces ...
1/ Nick Novack
2/ Graham Gano
Kai sounds interesting.
I don't care who we bring or sign, but Cundiff has to go. 5 misses in 2 games is just not acceptable!

The press asked a Redskins executive about the salary cap penalty and the executive responded, "Ask John Mara." So the press asked Mara and he said, What they did was in violation of the spirit of the salary cap. "
Oh I see now, even though there was no actual salary cap in 2010 according to the CBA, the "spirit" of the salary cap still existed. Thanks for clearing that up Mara.
Never seen this forbath kicker....see the girlz nor the sucs thought he was better than current kickers, apparently. I would have brought back gano....just because he was not immediately picked up by other teams tells me nothing more than we already knew...i.e. he is a kicker with some accuracy issues. Didn't really expect other teams, at the time he was cut, namely right after 52 player draw down, to be pounding on his door. But, same could probably be said for cundiff.....if we hadn't taken the ravens reject, I think he would still have been by the phone praying for a kicker injury on any team.
So....if gano and shanny have burnt that bridge.....sure, I am ok with giving a young kicker a chance if he impresses. And, really all he would have to do to impress would be to make field goals consistently from around 30 yards....that would mqke him more accurate than cundiff right now.
Please no Mare or the other old chap!
Time for us to go with a strong, powerful, accurate, and young LEG! Kai, please get it done.
Forbath was injured last year, so he didn't have a shot at winning the job, obviously. Connor Barth is an excellent kicker (26 of 28 last year and 9 of 9 so far this year), so he didn't have a chance to beat out the entrenched starter. Barth is a known commodity and a proven one for the Bucs the past 4 seasons. Doesn't mean Forbath wouldn't be a great fit for us, however.

I really like the prospect of Forbath the more I read on him.
Seems we'd loses on kick-off's as he's not got the driving leg strength for many TB's, but we'd gain with a very accurate FG kicker who has the leg and accuracy over 50 too. And at 25, we may find a surprise long term answer.
Here's hoping he works out as good as his college prospects were.
Hail.
Forbath sounds like a winner to me, maybe he can prove to be solid and stick around for a while.
Who cares about kickoff length?
You kick it in-bounds and Zo Alexander will demolish him.
I too am liking the sounds of Forbath and Brown. Would prefer Forbath.
Outside the blocked kicks Gano was pretty decent...but that would be some move by the front office. I donīt think they have the balls to admit they made a mistake.
