Not a MUST win, it's a "YOU GD BETTER WIN!"...Lose this and it's likely 3-6 at the bye..and someone's gonna be released and/or fired at that point.

Why oh why do some of you keep predicting we'll score 40 points? We've done it once this year and I actually see the offense regressing over the weeks. Anything over 30 is foolish IMO.

I think the Vikes are beatable, they do have some weapons on Offense with Harvin, and Peterson and they have Jared Allen on D who is a monster pass rusher, but they are beatable they do not have the overpowering offense or defense like some other teams have out there. So I think we can win......

However this is contingent on RGIII playing and our D being able to put up a similar performance to last week. If Kirk plays we will still be able to move the ball but we lose our dynamic QB who can make plays with his feet and avoid the pass rush. plus Kirk plays more like a true rookie staring down recivers, and not being able to progress through the reads rapidly. Not saying he will not get batter but these are the facts as we get ready to step into the game. At this point I do not think you are getting any different vale out of Kirk or Rex. If either of those guys are Qbing this team our chance to win is almost zero as they will both give up sacks and multiple turnovers plus our offense is no longer dynamic.

I do however disagree that this is a must win game. IT IS NOT!!!! This season was never about playoffs, or even finishing with a winning record. This is about bringing in talent and getting our new Franchise QB's feet wet. Sure we all want those other things but this is not our time. We need at least 2 more drafts and a few free agent pick ups to be true contenders. Now do I like being able to compete and be in every game? Of course. Do I like that we have a chance in every game and we are not gettign killed but losing by a few points? YES I love the fact that we are a threat to win at any time and that teams have to be scared of us, but this is not out time. I know thats hard to say to a fan base tha for the last 20 years has been waiting but I say again this is not our time. Be a little more patient and I think in 2 more seasons we will have at minimum an NFC east championship if not a NFC championship. We are on the right path, lets take this season for what it is and try t poil a few teams good times. We win 4 more games and go 6-10 ill be thrilled.

    Predictions:

    If RGIII Plays

    Skins: 21
    Vikes:23
But I do feel this could end up reversed, I just do not see it going our way.

    If Kirk Plays:
    Skins: Skins 12
    Vikes: 28
Kirk has multiple sacks and at least 2 INT

    If Rex Plays:
    Skins:14
    Vikes:32
Rex has 3 INT and a few sacks throws 2 Garbage time TD Passes

Possible back up QB, new kicker and defense (while playing better last week) still a big weakness....IF we keep feeding Morris and make some third downs we win 27-17. If we go pass happy again and abandon the run we lose 31-10.

Gotta switch up the mojo, as I haven't helped the last couple of weeks.

    Vikes - 42
    Skins - 3

    We're DOOMED.

We won't need a QB in this one. With Forbath in the fold, we will just kick FGs every time we gain possession. We won't even risk KO or punt returns. 11 possessions becomes a comfortable 33-20 win at home!

Since his injury, 96.4% of Peterson's rushing yards are between the tackles....the 'skins are good at stopping this.
Toby Gerhart, Peterson's backup, fumbles a lot.

Ponder averages only 6.8 yards per pass attempt (Griffin's is 8.4)
Harvin gets the bulk of the receptions...and...he pulls UP the yards per pass attempt.
Harvin represents about 40% of the passing game.
Peterson gets a lot of screens, and doesn't do much with them.

Conclusion: The 'skins D will have a good week. They are well equipped to deal with this offense.
    Give up about 17 points.

    ----------------------------------

Chad Greenway flys to the ball like a boss. 2nd level blocking is key, and the 'skins O-Line has been getting much better at that.

The Vikings play a lot of cover-1 with Harrison Smith playing center-field. This plays well into what Kyle asks RG3 to do.
Winfield plays some tight man coverage.

The Vikes don't take away many turnovers.

Conclusion: A more balanced attack, more spread offense will produce about 24 points. RG3 will have a solid day.

    -Skins 24, Vikes 17.

The Vikings are going to kick our ass! We can't stop Ponder or their receivers either, they are on a roll and we just cant find ways to beat good teams, even though we have all the chances in the world.

I was sure we would beat the Falcons and snap the home game losing streak, but when RG3 went down, so did the odds. If RG3 returns to the lineup, the Redskins will win comfortably kneeling at the end to run the clock out. Also, the Vikes should implode after this game.

We are a team that takes that first step in learning how to win this week. We came close last week with our backup rookie QB.

    Skins - 27
    Vikes - 17

    And RG3 does play.
Most fans wish their team had the first pick in the draft each year. I would be happy with the 32nd.
