i hope that means he ran outta bounds, play over, then slid as a joke. if hes near the sidelines he should never slide thats how he got hurt in the first place.
    **** it, I'm going deep.

As mentioned, the doctors aren't even on the team's payroll. They have nothing to gain or lose by saying whether he's fit or not. This isn't the NFL of the 70s.

Are you serious, because an individual has Dr. in from of his/her name and hired by the NFL does not mean they are reputable; that is why most players get multiple opinions, they make mistakes day to day (guinea pig types). If I were Robert, I would take what they say with a grain of salt and make a decision based on my body especially with having suffered a concussion in less than a year ago.

Although the experience may have rattled the quarterback a little, it certainly didn’t affect his sense of humor. Asked how he intends to ensure he doesn’t absorb a similar hit in the future, Griffin joked: “I ran out of bounds today in practice and imitated a slide, and got a huge cheer from the team.”

I may be in the minority but i would rather hold RG3 out this game to ensure that he is fully sound mentally and physically. This season was a prep year to begin with, a chance to let him get his feet wet. We have a poor defensive backfield, with limited pass rush. While RG3 has shown above and beyond his expectations lets let our QB get himself fully healthy.

I don't know..I say we keep him out of this game...What if he takes a blind side sack and that makes him feel worse again.

Sit him out at least one week.

What the heck are you guys talking about. He's a football player! If he's cleared he needs to play. he could break his leg or get concussed or get killed on any play. That's football. If he's cleared there's no INCREASED risk. That's all anyone should care about. That there is a RISK of injury is just football. The only thing that should change that analysis is any INCREASED risk from the hit. Getting cleared by neurologists (team and independent) means there is no increased risk. He should play.

Oh my, everyone i guess is a better expert on injuries than the paid professionals hired by the Redskins.

    SMH.

Not to play devils advocate but we are talking about the ones that just about every player who has left as well as a few current players have complained about? Imho I honestly think every concussed player should face atleast a one game sideline. It should be more about a players health rather than a W on the record book.

edit: plus i fear for RGIII with Allen this week.

Good thing the process is done by independent doctors then

Considering that he was tested by a doctor NOT employed by the team or the NFL, and that independent doctor (who had nothing to gain by clearing him when he wasn't ready) cleared him, I think that you can trust his diagnosis.

Or he probably should've just thrown the ball out of the end zone a second earlier.

That way, they would'nt have had a chance to hit him, and if they did give him a shot, it probably would've drawn a personal foul penalty.

I disagree with you that RG3 won't get protected like Brady or anyone named Manning.

RG3 is one of the rising stars in this league. He's a good kid and will be a good "face of the league".

They'll protect him as they do Brady.

Sit him out at least one week.

Why? What would be the gain? RG3 will be as at risk for another concussion the following week. Or the week after that. Or the 15th week of the season.

Meaning, if he has another concussion, it will have nothing to do with this mild one. It will be a different injury to his brain.

So, do you want to sit the guy for the rest of the season, afraid to start him, like some new gadget you don't want to take out of the box because you are afraid it will break once you start to use it?

If RG3 gets full medical clearance to play, he should play. End of story.
    HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!
