Dunno. Maybe he means from a historical standpoint, and what his game in the SB did as far as destroying the perception of the black quarterback among the NFL coaches, gm's, etc. That would be the only plausible explanation.

Week 6 comes to a close. 22 teams have played 6 games, the rest only 5. Starting to get an early picture as to who will be on the firing line and who will be contending for the playoffs.

    NFC East

Giants might be the slight favorites since they are 4-2 but they are 0-2 in the division but I don't see the other 3 teams really making the playoffs. I think the Boys and Eagles are frauds and will be no better than .500. Skins at best could be .500. Dallas and Philly are probably on the road to coaching changes.

    NFC North

This could be a three way race between Green Bay, Minny and Chicago. I say Green Bay and Chicago are the favs to make the playoffs, though Minny could contend for a wild card also. Detroit isn't going anyway. As far as coaching changes, if the Bears don't go far; then Lovie Smith might be gone.

    NFC South

This is Atlanta's division but unless they win a playoff game; the winning won't matter. I think Cam Newton isn't progressing and Ron Rivera could be gone in Carolina. If Atlanta fails to win a playoff game, then Mike Smith might be gone.

    NFC WEST

Who would've thought this would be the best division in the NFL? I can see two teams making the playoffs here, most likely Seattle and San Francisco. My gut says Arizona fades a little and St. Louis just hangs around .500. No coaching changes here.

    AFC West

I think only one team goes to the playoffs and that will be Denver or San Diego. I think you will see coaching changes in Kansas City and probably San Diego- even if they make the playoffs. Norv won't do anything if they make it.

    AFC South

Clearly Houston's division but they aren't as good as people think they are. I could see Indy slip in as a wild card. Tennessee is heading for a coaching change. It wouldn't shock me to see Khan clean house in Jacksonville; after inheriting everyone since he took over in the winter.

    AFC North

Baltimore should run away with this since Pittsburgh is down and Cincy just is so-so. Still could put 2 teams into the playoffs. With the new owner taking over this month; there will be cleaning house in Cleveland after the season ends if not sooner.

    Afc East

Hmmm- the entire division is .500. Pats will probably still win it and my pick for 2nd is Miami. I say both the Bills and Jets are heading for coaching changes.

So after 6 weeks, that's how I see things. Probably in 3 weeks when everyone will have played 8 games will we have a clearer picture.

    thats it

his super bowl win was very important and helped shatter a lot of ignorant views that were out there. For that alone, he sits on my Mt. Rushmore. And he beat Elway.

Williams winning a SB doesn't erase his entire career of being a bottom of the league NFL QB. It just further proved Joe Gibbs' genius and the quality of our OL and WR group.

I dont mistake Doug Williams for being an all time great QB, but this is wrong sir. Completely wrong.

    Question.

Had that been Romo instead of Rivers, would today's headlines be about Peytons comeback ... or Romo choking?
