I don't post here much anymore for a variety of reasons. I do check out the own3d thread fairly often, but that's about it. I saw the Facebook post in question, and then the follow up in the Own3d thread, and am really disappointed in how that was handled. I understand how frustrating it must be to moderate a site like this, with all the crazy things people do and do on; however, as a moderator, I have to think that you should be able and willing to rise above all that. If you're not, perhaps a more suitable replacement should be found.

It seems to me that calling out a long time member using names and Facebook posts and other things is much more punitive than it needed to be. A more appropriate course of action would be to do something behind the scenes, quietly, thus allowing the member's anger to burn out slowly.

I have respect for the job you have, but I am having trouble respecting this decision.

As I said, I no longer post very much, and seriously doubt I will in the future, so I am quite confident this will be easy to brush off and ignore if you so choose.
