Well you seemed to indicate that you thought that the problem was the players. They're lazy, no heart. Well I thought that we got rid of that with Semin. We needed a second line center, we got Rubiero. Sure, we are missing Brooks Liach but he's overpaid anyhow. Hunter Hockey is too defensive, we replaced him with a more offensive minded coach.

I just don't get what can be done.

Nah, it's all good. I'm not inspired by the play we are seeing tonight either.

I think it's a bit premature to say that the season is over and our cup window is closed.

Hell, I don't even agree with the idea of a cup window. Good organizations manage to contend every season.

If they have responded to another head coach after him then why are we talking so negatively about the team right now.

I bet this team wouldn't be on the brink of 0-3 with Boudreau.

I don't see why it's such a crime for people to voice their frustrations here. Want to be optimistic? Great! Want to be pessimistic? Great! It's a sports message board after all...

We're not here to coach the team, we're here to be a community with a common passion and you need people that see both sides, so why can't we get past the petty questioning of peoples motives and fanship and get back to the talk about the team?

My thoughts: They're either super rusty or disinterested or just bad at hockey, but the fundamentals seem bad to me. The passes aren't crisp, it feels like everyone is a step slow, and who is going to lead by example? So far...Hendricks and no one else, and that was for a game.

Or top 3 look terrible and i can't figure it out, but it doesn't seen to be system stuff that's the problem, it's like it's basic mechanics.

Agreed. The one aspect, which frustrates me most is taking dumb penalties. We're giving away games at the rate we penalize ourselves.

I thought they were responding well to Hunter. They made it to the 2nd round and lost in 7. That certainly isn't NOT responding. I'm not claiming to have the answer, but the only constant through all of this has been GMGM. At some point, he has to be accountable for the character defects of the players he brings in.
